Looking like a breakout on Monday now.Took a bit longer to break 3.27, two weeks.....3.35-39 into Monday's close and then hopefully a result that capitulates the further momentumn.

Over half a million traded yesterday and a lot of price squeezing to fill large order after hours.3 more trading days before trade update, expecting to see some momentum today and tomorrow in run up to results.Needs to close above 3.27 for first break out point.Batman has also appeared on the 30 day chart?Looking positive.

Toffee.I'm always a peolific shorter.This businees has legs and a sound business model.Granted profitably has been the achiles heel.The New CEO has literally cleared the boardroom and the defunt chairman has gone.I've spoken to quite a few halfords managers and they say sales are very healthy.The CEO should fair very well imo this first 20 weeks trading cycle.The charts indicate a breakout due.first redistance 2.27 then 3.39 and if results are good up to 3.82 and if results very good than tje 3 month indicators look vey bullish into the 4 pound mark.Just my humble opinion of course.

At Hedge End, near Southampton, the HFD store has been added to with a new, tidy, HFD garage next door. Good thinking, I'd say. Guess that cycling sales should be healthy with the weather we've been having, and more folk holidaying in the UK; so no negatives that I can see.

Targatarga - thanks. The first thing I did was report it. I expect to get tickets etc but I've got a record of the crime number etc and a copy of the Metropolitan Police report in the vehicle for when I'm stopped by ANPR.

chorister - oh dear. don't be surprised if you start getting speeding tickets etc. thieves put your plates on their vehicle and just run riot. At least if you report the theft to the police they have a record. imho

Amid all the retail gloom I thought I would just post about my experience at a south London Halfords this morning.

The number plates on my car were nicked, so I had to go to get new ones. It was one of the new format Halfords stores and I thought the layout very effective - plenty of space, everything very clear, lots of information. The staff were excellent and clearly well trained not only technically but in customer interaction too. The store was busy the whole time (on a Sunday morning) with there quite often being queues at the tills.

My own experience was excellent.
