10/3/2020 09:11 | what do you do when a new virus is about to kill millions pawn your jewellry and go and buy some toilet rolls obviously | spob
10/3/2020 09:09 | but i'm more than happy at this silly price with gold hitting highs and people acting like the world is about to end is a bonus here too | spob
10/3/2020 09:08 | i suppose they could have paid a higher dividend stingy gits | spob
10/3/2020 08:59 | I was hoping to pick some up for 280 in the carnage, but the results must put a floor around the recent lows of 300ish? But yes excellent results - trying to find the negatives, but there aren't many (loss of profit from HCSTC?, but not an area of the business I'm comfortable with anyway). | taylor20
10/3/2020 08:41 | Excellent results and no comments tough crowd in here | spob
10/3/2020 07:42 | Following two successful acquisitions, a strong core operating performance and a beneficial gold price we have produced an exceptional year's trading performance. The Group's growing momentum demonstrates the success of our strategy and the demand for our pawnbroking and related products remains strong. | spob

21/2/2020 14:54 | Gold and Silver on the up this should be trading at all time highs, well above 4 quid | spob
27/1/2020 10:15 | Yes index shorts to balamce stock hold today. HAT meanwhile has surprised the larket by outperforming expectations. What an opportunity that last temporary dip was. Still very undervalued and against the backdrop of rising gold price too. | thorpematt
27/1/2020 08:51 | I am quite happy with the report. It means that HAT is one of the few in my portfolio that is going up today. Stock markets around the world are depressed by worries about the coronavirus. As long as we survive, we could be heading for a massive buying opportunity in shares :) | daijavu
27/1/2020 07:43 | Brilliant update.. | jampot7us

07/1/2020 20:28 | My biggest loss on the day today (rest of the port up a total 2.4% !). Quite why the retrace given the risechart for gold I am not sure. | thorpematt
05/1/2020 16:24 | Yes...tomorrows trading will be interesting....think it has alot going for it and is close to being a Jim Slater Zulu stock.. | jampot7us
05/1/2020 14:56 | Thanks spob & jampot7US. I too wondered if the share had been a New Year tip somewhere, but haven’t come across it so far. To me, the re-rating seemed too quick purely to be FCA re-assessment, but you could be right. HAT is a volatile share at the best of times and the price has already fallen back a bit since my previous post.... | lord loads of lolly
02/1/2020 22:43 | Maybe the FCA issue spooked the price and buyers pulled out...That type of loan represents only about 4% of the co...So poss an over reaction and share moving back up? | jampot7us
02/1/2020 22:38 | gold price has moved up and maybe it's been new year tipped by some publication somewhere | spob
02/1/2020 19:33 | Anyone any theories why this has re-rated so quickly over the last few days? It was 'just' 316p for a while on 27 Dec. | lord loads of lolly
02/1/2020 12:24 | Perking up nicely... | jampot7us
12/12/2019 14:05 | For those who aren't subscribers the article concluded with a Hold On recommendation. It began by talking about the sudden Albermarle & Bond closure and that H&T bought 113 of its “pledge books” – portfolios of loans secured on customers’ goods – for about £8m.The acquisition of the A&B assets followed that of 65 outlets from the Money Shop. H&T said it was continuing “to trade well and ahead of the board’s expectations” and the shares hit a high of 398p. After than came the announcement about the enquiry into its payday loans business and the company said that it would pay any redress from its existing resources. How much are they ? The interim results referred to £14m of unused money from a debt facility with Lloyds, although since then it has spent £8m on the A&B loan books and a net £10m on Money Shop assets, offset by £6m from the sale of new shares. We can therefore guess it now has about £2m to play with. The annual profits are about £13m. The profits ought to be higher following the two acquisitions. There is therefore some uncertainty but we will hold on, the article said. | dr know
11/12/2019 13:50 | Questor: H&T has endured four months of ups and downs. What should investors do? | philanderer |
