27/8/2018 15:33 | I have nothing to do with TW. Wonga is a disreputable organisation and has little impact on H&T. Non-standard finance is a large market with many players. I am happy to hold H&T as it is a well run operation. | topvest
27/8/2018 10:23 | It was certainly relevant during the debate on the demise of ABM a few years ago. Posters on here were suggesting that the traditional pawnbrokers were about to be supplanted by online lenders such as Wonga. It turned out to be a specific failure to manage its rising debt levels after premature expansion did for ABM while new regulations against aggressive debt collection have affected the online lenders. | scotches
27/8/2018 08:26 | Interesting, but not really relevant to HAT at all. Lenders come and go. | topvest
27/8/2018 07:15 | Should be the first, good news as less competition. HAT much less aggressive interest rates than Wonga, no risk of similar claims? | qvg
26/8/2018 22:47 | So is this good news for HAT as it means less competition - or bad news as they face similar claims (no position)? | boystown
26/8/2018 18:50 | "Payday lender Wonga is close to collapsing into administration as compensation demands mount up for the short-term money lender." | scotches
14/8/2018 19:37 | EPS estimates for both 2018 and 2019 were actually lowered today o_O. I don't hold, but interesting. | pireric
14/8/2018 13:59 | I think a leveling of gold price improves the margin, a rise in any period over-inflates it. The last period saw a fall thus it under-performed. The drop in share price over the period ensured it was priced in. Generally the tone here is positve IMV so a good time to buy in or add I would suggest. | thorpematt
14/8/2018 08:27 | Agree. Steady growth and the strong balance sheet continues to improve as receivables grow faster than debt - this is despite a weakish year for the gold price trend. If loan book growth slows, more cash will be thrown off for dividends. If not, future cashflows will be even bigger. Seems like a win win. We just need to be sure that it does not come at the expense of credit quality that will suffer in a downturn. So far, it looks fine. FX looks to be growing nicely. | aleman
14/8/2018 07:21 | Solid results - worth closer to £4 IMO. | value hound
09/8/2018 09:06 | Gold has been retracing since mid June when it fell through a key support at circa $13/oz It was an easy short but as it approaches support (around $12/ oz I have closed out my position. In the meantime HAT has retraced in sympathy and now resides at a very oversold point IMV. So I used the profit to buy some more. | thorpematt
18/7/2018 14:24 | Topped up today on the fall on low volume. Results @ mid August should be good 😊 | psmith1110
10/7/2018 11:27 | Big drop today so far. Doesn't seem to be an obvious reason other than the ongoing general market jitters, Brexit etc and possibly the price of Gold. | goldry
10/7/2018 11:19 | Thanks Aleman. I will top up if the share price drops any further. | lozzer69
10/7/2018 10:49 | Anyone know why the share price has been slipping recently?? | lozzer69
14/6/2018 19:15 | [...] Another small non ex director buy | interceptor2
13/6/2018 19:45 | Possibly significant movement on the chart ending today's procedings. I won't post a chart now (much to be getting on with ) but post 614 I believe is relevant (for anyone who is remotely interested in my inane ramblings). | thorpematt
13/6/2018 17:45 | The shares have been on a good run for about three weeks. The director buy might not have made any difference. | aleman
13/6/2018 17:18 | Well it did seemingly result in a price spike - what would have happened if he'd bought 10,000 ???? | podgyted
13/6/2018 15:18 | Director buying his first 1000 shares. He should be embarassed buying so few. Did he leave his Rolex as collateral? | saint or sinner?
25/5/2018 16:31 | Naked Trader Buying in will move the share price short term - "I bought some H&T (HAT) - we discussed at the seminar. Spread is quite wide, I tried hard to get some at the seminar live at the sell price using DMA but no luck." | martinthebrave |
