Indeed Nurdin - I wasn't aware of the imminent Pennsylvania vote! Even more to add to the pot then!! Russia AND USA opening up? Wow.

No one has mentioned market opportunities in the USA.A number of states there are now looking to legalise on line gambling, with Pennsylvania likely to vote tomorrow or Wednesday.A much bigger opportunity than Russia I would have thought.

Expecting a sharp move up as the shorts try to close, which I reckon was the purpose of the wholly insubstantial Times piece. Great trading update, probable resumption of dividends announced in September, consistent broker upgrades and reiterations (average target 965p), World Cup 2018 and new Russia venture to look forward to. I'm hoping for 850p - 900p by the September Interims.

Festy - not only was there no need for a comment - there was no need for the article in the first place. That article was written by someone LOOKING for something to beat the share price with - last time he used a supposed court case as the excuse!!

Lazy journalism is all it was, no action has actually been taken, hence no need for comment from the company.Whiskey, I'd direct your query to GVC investor relations, they'll be happy to answer. I'd be interested in the answer too.

Does GVC support bitcoin payment?

My guess is Gvc business customers offer bitcoin payment to customers.

"City insiders say buy GVC Holdings" - from today's 'Daily Mail' City & Finance pages:

"Peel Hunt said this performance shows GVC has the potential to keep rising due to improving products and operations"

Obviously based on Peel Hunt's recent 1000p price target. I note that the average target price of the 3 brokers that have issued notes on GVC recently is 965p (Numis, Berenberg, Peel Hunt).

No it isn't, it's old news. In case you hadn't noticed the share price has fallen circa 10% over the past few weeks (from 820p+ to 740p, so I suggest that the Turkish situation has been price-in already (not way after the event). In any event online gambling has already been outlawed in Turkey for more than 10 years. The Times piece is just a lot of fact-free waffle.

In addition to the raft of recent broker upgrades into the 900-1000p area, the focus going forward will be on World Cup 2018, the move into the massive Russian market and the resumption of dividends (with, as Edison notes. the possibility of further special dividends as well).

Exactly what time was the article in the public domain !!!
Given the finish of the share price on friday i would suspect that it wasn't out then , also knowing what the city boys are like on even the slightest negative news i can see the price dropping down towards the 700p level.
Good top up opportunity if it does happen.

The percentage of GVC revenue from Turkey will be reducing on a daily basis as the company diversifies its revenues by territory, coupled with the ongoing integration of bwin customers, which is delivering higher activity levels and increased margins on a per player basis.Even a negative scenario for GVC will not cause revenues from that territory to vanish overnight, so it's hard to imagine it being material when set against the growth trajectory in all other areas. Plus it may not damage GVC at all of course, it's not the first go the Turkish authorities have had at gaming. The article itself feels a bit thin really so given the prominent mention of GVC in the header and first paragraph, it seems odd that it goes on to deliver no real analysis at all and could almost be categorised as filler.Anyway just my thoughts.
