04/7/2017 15:50 | Thanks Festatio.Probably won't work when I try & do it for real!!Do we get a Trading Update & Dividend announcement circa mid July please? | plasybryn
04/7/2017 15:24 | Most days Plasybryn yes! It actually does... and helped me make a few bob whilst still keeping my total GVC shares intact at the end of the day or week. But the day it goes wrong is the day you start to rely on it.... and you end up chasing the higher prices. | festario
04/7/2017 14:55 | Does this do the same trick everyday? Sell first thing. Buy back in mid day Repeat. | plasybryn
04/7/2017 14:54 | I cant recall a bad news update mylands!...but we shall soon find out. | jeff h
04/7/2017 14:41 | Jeff H Well spotted. Looked at the Event Calendar a few days ago and it just showed July as the trading update, now it has 7th July. Pretty soon after the ending of the quarter. Does that indicate it's good news which they want to get out quickly? GC Keeping fingers crossed. | mylands
04/7/2017 14:26 | mylands,I hope your wishes will be granted on Friday. | garycook
04/7/2017 13:50 | Trading Update this Friday. | jeff h
04/7/2017 10:10 | GC You may well be right though as we have been 'warned' by Kenny this quarter in comparison to the same quarter last year does not have a major footie competition. What I am hoping for is a special div, but maybe that is asking for too much! | mylands
04/7/2017 09:48 | mylands,I would have thought so,if they want to make profit.GVC is not going to stay at 750 ish for long. The next update will send us back to £8 and beyond. | garycook
04/7/2017 09:00 | Since early March Marshall Wace have increased their short holding from 0.57% in 10 upward steps to 1.4% on June 28th and then on June 29th they reduced their exposure by 0.01% to 1.39%. I wonder if they are starting to unwind their positions following the fall of virtually 10% in the share price since the high in May? | mylands
03/7/2017 16:10 | A nice late afternoon recovery bodes well for tommorrow. | fizzypop
03/7/2017 12:08 | Just added, 500, probably add more throughout this week and next. | shayadfn
03/7/2017 11:16 | Can't see any other gaming operators they are short on at first glance.Another steady update will see this back on track, the fundamentals should only be strengthening and it continues to generate cash.If it performs well this calendar year, which it has so far, then next year should be stellar. | noujay
03/7/2017 11:06 | It's the only correct answer Nurdin, unless you suspect they are guilty of insider trading? You'll probably find that they have decided that the whole gaming sector is ripe for a pullback. After all, WMH, PTEC, 888 and others have identical charts to us in recent weeks. | festario
03/7/2017 11:01 | Thats a daft answer.I meant why choose GVC to short when all the fundamentals look so strong? | nurdin
03/7/2017 10:57 | To make money... and they are doing. If we knew when shorters decide to close, we could make money on the way up. But we never do.Back in Feb it was obvious, a rapid rise from 590p made it clear, and took us to new highs.I suggest that shorters will need to close in the next 2 weeks, prior to the trading update... or they'll start to lose their gains very quickly. | festario
03/7/2017 10:48 | Wonder why they decided to increase their short... | nurdin
03/7/2017 10:37 | Just noticed that Marshall Wace have steadily been increasing their short position in GVC to the highest level they have had of 1.4% on June 28th That's some exposure and maybe the reason for the decline in the share price | mylands
01/7/2017 12:16 | This agreement was apparently expected to be signed early in June. Perhaps the lack of news was behind the share price decline in the later part of month ? The latest news could reverse the trend quickly I feel! | nurdin
01/7/2017 08:25 | Thanks..looks interesting.Here is another link with slightly more detail: | nurdin
01/7/2017 07:17 | Interesting development in the poker sector- | shayadfn
30/6/2017 14:08 | There called mm' s ,finance institutions who make there money moving the share prices around enticing punters to buy and sell ....arn't they?Unless there is news which helps them move the share price around even more | kop202
30/6/2017 14:07 | Regulators don't worry me, they don't span the whole globe do they?Geographical diversification is the key to holding this share, through good news and bad. | festario
30/6/2017 13:58 | Not necessarily dodgy..perhaps a whiff of some regulatory event? I dont know but have added another 2k @747p | nurdin
30/6/2017 13:51 | Nurdin, if someone knew something dodgy, don't you think the volume would be much higher? | festario |
