Whatever the wc results going forward I would think the next update will be very impressive. See Ladbrokes and Playtech just launched some betslip related upgrade/initiative today.Stadium also started generating revenue out of Delaware and shared a in a $125k pot per one of the casino related reports. Obviously that's not a meaningful number but Delaware is a very small state and just started, so once it starts to really gain momentum across the US it could get material very quickly.

Whilst watching the England-Colombia match, I was stood behind a bloke who was placing a bet every few minutes. One of his bets was for there to be a header of any kind from either team between the 113th and 114th minutes. He lost on that bet but did win another correctly picking the scorer of Colombia's first goal. These 2 bets were just one of many he placed during the match. The array of bets that can be placed by punters on a single game is mind-boggling. Am very glad that I have never been bitten by the bug!

Yes , how many backed Kane to score against Sweden as opposed to Maguire !!
Instead of backing England to win most people go for doubles etc like -
Eng win 2-0 Kane to score , so they lost !!!!!!
Most people are looking for value - they dont want 5/4 England to win or 7/2 Kane to score 1st so they go for the doubles etc.
You will see even if England win the world cup this will be the most profitable WC ever for the bookies

So even if say England win, the bookies could still make a packet out of the game because the players who scored were the ones who were not expected to score or the score itself is unexpected.

Given that most punters are looking for value odds then England winning doesn't hold that much now being 2nd favs, only going by my own and friends betting patterns we tend to go for Players scoring , correct result etc more than just team winning.
Either way not many people would have bet on England at the start so whoever wins it will definitely be a big win for the bookies.

Not being a gambler myself I would like to ask in percentage terms how many will just bet that England will win compared to how many will bet which player will score first or the score will be say 2 - 1 to England etc.

My money is on us being above 1100p before the trading statement.

This World Cup should be the biggest money spinner for the betting industry. With only four left the amount the bookies can lose if the ‘favouriteR17; wins is pretty low, and if the ‘outsider̵7; wins the same goes, as how many punters put money on Croatia at 60/1/ now down to 4/1?

France the bookies favourites at the moment (21/20)with Belgium second (5/2).

After the wins over Japan and then Brazil, my money is on Belgium.

Results continue to be good. England being held to a draw at 90 minutes was a great result and Spain likewise, plus them going out.

Bookies will be praying Sweden can hold England at 90 minutes but overall they are on nearly triple usual football margins on WC.

They waited until after the WC Final 4 years ago before releasing a TU so I would expect one early week commencing 16 July. AIMHO

Lets hope so, it does seem a few gambling companies
have mentioned that the results from the world cup
have been bookmaker positive, so a good trading statement
