Which company is that Brownie?

The World Cup has already been a bookie bonanza, I work in the industry.
One company that I'm aware of is running at double the volume of last year and are currently averaging a 20% gross margin due to the number of shock results. They had budgeted for 6%.
Add to that the fact that GVC own Bwin and the fact that Germany are out and I'd expect the next trading update to be "ahead of management expectation".
the only possible blip could be an England win, but early on when the price was bigger liabilities were light as there were few believers.

Suspect they may wait until after the World Cup before they release a TU? Final is on 15/7.

Good rise today - topped up at £10.36 late yesterday.
Are we due a TU soon?

Foolish... England won't get past Columbia, and that's it.

But Belgium only put out their 2nd team it was a meaningless game.

I think England did pretty well against Belgium considering they only put out a second 11 team and Belgium are ranked 3rd in the world compared to England's 12th.

Columbia are currently ranked 16th which is only because they played so well in 2015. If one takes the last 18 months only then Columbia would be well below 20th place.

Until the final England will miss playing Brazil ranked 2nd and Portugal ranked 4th.

England won't get beyond the quarter finals. They just haven't got enough talent.

More to the point, some traditional favourites are not doing that well.....so from the bookies point of view this is all good - the more surprises sinking singles, doubles, trebles and accumulators the better

It might have an effect on lads & Corals but remember gvc are worldwide and they will
have taken bets in Germany, Far East , Australia and Colombia to name a few.
England winning will certainly make a dent in WC profit but overall they would still be well up.

Unless of course in the unlikely event that England win! Then the bookies would be shafted, mind you they've had over 50 years to save up!!
