Watchign the relentless rise of Corus. Clearly bot driven AT buying, with deal sizes disguised to look like multiple buyers. Wondering what their buying limit is? 30 is key resistance, but the bots are picking into this.

Croc or anyone, do these bots tend to have a price limit or are they volume/ day limited. What are the telltale signs they're reaching them (other than the bleeding obvious they stop buying!)?

I did all the late last night, the virus just keeps jumping from one file to the next as soon as you open that file don't know where it is at the moment ;-(
even the virus people say on there website it not written well lots of code errors in it, I'd hate to see a one that was written correcly, I think it's time to make it a jailable offence or even hanging ????? lol ;-)

Rich, i'm not sure sure how much time you have now, but an alternate method is (especially if your hard drive is partitioned) is to get all your sound card, video etc drivers handy, and copy all work files to the d drive.
Then re boot the pc, and interrupt the windows boot up so it goes into native dos.
In dos, you can format the c drive by typing c:\format c.
this basically wipes out everything on your c drive, inc the virus(es).
Then reload windows from your original cd. Once windows is reloaded, you can load up the drivers for your modem, sound card, video card etc. and hey presto, a clean pc.
Of course all your work files would have been untouched as they were on the d drive .
I have done this before. Admittedly it took me a few hours, but it did the trick, and you learn from experience.
If you want more info, i can give you my number.

Rich, Try this site (free)
Click on Home computing
Scroll down and click on Symantec security check
Click Scan for viruses.

Once you've sorted your problems it may be wise to invest in a program called Go-Back which allows you to go back in time to a time when your system was OK and restart from there.

Paul, thanks check that as well,

The virus companies know there is a virus that effects the exe files in their programs, it also alters something in the regedit file so every time you boot up computer it reinstalls itself into regedit and jumps to all your exe, install update files, it's now took out my ICQ, think I'll go back to zx81 lol
