The proposed budget amendment to pay $16 plus or minus was announced on the 5th Nov and the shareprice was 133p. After a bit of initial excitement it settled back to around 133p, it did nothing for the sp, the market was unimpressed, probably because people could see it was a non starter.

On 21st Dec with it still at 133p we got the announcement that the Appeals Court had ruled the contracts legal, then two days later on Christmas Eve it was reported that APIKUR has claimed $24 billion in compensation. Since then the share price has increased 21% to 161p.

The increase in the share price is due entirely to the court ruling, and nothing has changed there.

So although the mms might try to take advantage first thing tommorrow of any disappointment caused by potential delay in the passage of the amendment through parliament I don't see any reason why the share price shouldn't continue in it's upward trend.

The court ruling the contracts legal enforcable and binding along with APIKUR reportedly filing for $24 billion in compensation are massive developments and fundamentally change the whole dynamic, and fund managers will be back at their desks tommorrow.

They have spent 20,000 bucks so far at the lowest traded price since it started.What they buyback does is provide PH and CG the authority to sit on the book wherever they want - and control the SP, without even buying any ..................I suspect they will start buying - at higher prices - they want this share price higher now we are in 2025 - and that 'Stay Bonus' about to be paid .....

It should have dawned on the Iraqis by now if they weren't so dense that the IOCs along with the KRG are more than prepared to let this whole charade play out for another 9 months. Which would put them in an enviable position. Maybe even the preferred and intended one. ICG are on the back foot and need to sort this out sharpish. From a personal view right now I don't care either way. Longer term I favour sitting it out until September.

They have spent 20,000 bucks so far at the lowest traded price since it started.What they buyback does is provide PH and CG the authority to sit on the book wherever they want - and control the SP, without even buying any ..................I suspect they will start buying - at higher prices - they want this share price higher now we are in 2025 - and that 'Stay Bonus' about to be paid .....

literally back to square 1, Surely that would be PSCs and payments. They worked after a fashion. Baghdad massed up. It`s face saving way out could now be to accept the consequences of an Appeal Court ruling and go back to legally binding PSCs.

It won`t do that of course now because the IOC`s were a little eager with their claims for damages which perhaps should have been delayed a bit until the terms of oil flow had been agreed and implemented.

That was prior, to no oil agreement over the weekend and literally back to square 1, quite obviously this will retrace until the pipeline opens, words from the Iraqi side are meaningless until the oil flows, don't believe any of it any more
