I don't believe it either. The proposal is that the IOCs start exporting for $16 a barrel which will later be adjusted up or down.

How can anyone agree to that, no CEO is going to sign a contract that doesn't specify how much he's going to be paid, and the finance committee doesn't know how much it's going to cost, so how is the finance ministry supposed to budget.

Personally I think the $16 maybe more maybe less is a non starter, and now that the PSCs have been declared by the Court of Appeal as "legal enforceable and binding" then there's absolutely no reason why the IOCs should even contemplate a solution that might pay them less than their existing contract pays, which is all they've ever asked for.

So the $16 and 60 day nonsense has been made redundant by the court ruling and they may as well just skip it honour the commercial terms of the PSCs and get the pipeline open.

Looking at all the major issues still to be resolved there's no reason imho to believe the pipe and exports will happen any time soon.

Will Baghdad appeal the decision? Are Baghdad and Turkey any closer to sorting out their issue of who will pay what as regards the Courts decision? And then there's the "independents" that will be looking at the production and transport costs.
What happens if any of the companies disagree with their findings? You believe the problems are being sorted but in truth more have been added with the Independents getting involved and where that could lead.

Meanwhile have any of the Kozel BS barrels been discovered? Of course not!! Kozel stated clearly the company would be producing 150k a day by 2014. A decade later and production is still in the 50'S and that's now coming from double the wells they had achieving 40k a day!!! More clues about the field there?

As for all the offers you gullible suckers are expecting and have been conning yourselves about for over a decade there's absolutely no sign of them. Could the reason be that no one except for you gullible suckers believe Kozel's barrels exist?

Ever considered that the reason there's been no increases in Reserves is because they just aren't there and that there are issues with the field? Water found where they always said there was sludge?

I agree , the formal acceptance of the Kurdish Oil contracts is a wildcard. No doubt something the ICG never intended to formally acknowledge.

We are in unknown territory now.

Yes the politics have to catch up,but the main thing has already happened--The legitimisation of Kurdy Oil/Contracts.On that basis the main event---Greater Shaikan/Deals etc can come at anytime with or without the political ok for the reopening of the pipeline.
