Kurdish/Iraqi news sources are NOT reliable OR Independent and never have been.

That is the Baghdad/SOMO/MoO/ Finance Committee proposal.

Amendment to the budget law has finally been finalized and approved . It still needs implementation but it has been fully finalized and approved . All that’s left is to calculate costs , appoint a consulting firm and start the resumption of oil exports.

Talking of gullible fantasists who never learn:-

Bigdog a week ago - "Baghdad are in control and the PSC's are illegal."

If the contracts are illegal then it's as though they never existed in the first place and the ICG could have just ignored them

But instead we have this, and I see no sign of Baghdad being in control:-

Yesterday - "Prime Minister Sudani on Wednesday urged parliament to approve amendments to the general budget law and stressed the need to resume oil exports from the Kurdistan Region, warning of growing financial strain from the prolonged suspension.

Sudani highlighted the economic impact of stalled oil exports, “The longer the delay in the export of oil from the Kurdistan Region, the more we will suffer,” Sudani said."

I don't think the Prime Minister agrees with you that the contracts are illegal Sarah, in fact he sees them as a total road block that he's been struggling for the last 2 years to clear, and so far those legally binding contracts that he's been powerless to do anything about and has now had to back down over are responsible for a loss of some $23 billion to the Iraqi treasury and which are putting the country under increased financial strain.

I imagine that like me it's you he thinks is the gullible fantasist.
