The companies requested 5.4 trillion dinars for a year, while the Oil Ministry allocated 2.7 trillion dinars, citing budget law limitations.

The Oil Ministry clarified that the funds would also cover pipeline rent, storage costs, and efforts to improve oil quality, with companies receiving $9 to $10 per barrel. Although this is higher than the $6 the Iraqi oil ministry had previously requested as the cost of oil production, it still falls significantly short of the $22 the companies are demanding. Consequently, the companies have rejected the Oil Ministry's proposal, deeming it insufficient to cover their expenses and maintain profitabil.

That's just a précis of what's already known, it's obvious no agreement was reached, but the header saying 'failure' is misleading, negotiations are ongoing and APIKUR, as yet, have not called BS on the Iraqi Oil Minister. We will see.

My calculator says that 1.875 billion divided by 12 million is 156.

What does yours say, yesterday you said you agreed with Broadford's $12 which is clearly incorrect.

If they were receiving $12pb for 12 million barrels they would get only $144 million a month instead of $1.875 billion.

So they'd only be getting 1% of the budget and not 14%, and I think that if the new budget amendments had reduced their share of the budget from the previous 12.6% to 1% we'd have heard about it.

Or maybe it's just that you and Broadford haven't a clue how to do sums.

143.1 is key resistance, if that goes we are on our way…US opening will hopefully pop us through that :)
