Not sure we'll be up to 50kbpd but hopefully not too far off with those figures.

Subject to local sales demand and considering the Company’s limited capital programme, gross production potential is currently between 45,000 – 48,000 bopd following recent optimisations to well performance

$6 on the table versus sarah's $156.

Epicure distancing themselves so as not to take any blame?

Congratulations to BB for getting the numbers spot on.

That tracks as I've been researching the Total deal and I've seen that the words 'production share' are used. Didn't make sense till now. I think $8 will be base rate plus back payments and then there's a profit percentage on top of that. Iraq has literally folded and admitted there WILL be new contracts in the form of profit sharing. New battleground is the share percentage which is why they were so desperate to see IOC existing contracts.

Confirmation (of a sort) that the Kurdish PSCs will be changed to Revenue Sharing Contracts:

"...the Kurdistan Regional Government delegation and the companies in Baghdad reached an agreement to change the production joint contract to profit joint contract..."

So, all we need now is confirmation of the rate at which spent Capex will be returned via the new Cost Oil mechanism.

$6/bbl max plus the Revenue from the sales - $10-$12/bbl max total.

Thank you bigdog.

They don't economically.. . .The reason Baghdad can't constitutionaly accept production share is because it implies the ioc OWNS Iraqi oil reserves. Our net entitlement reserves.Effectively 36%of the gross reserves .However a profit share contract is politically OK as the ioc doesn't own Iraqi oil but shares in the sale profits. So profit share +, production costs = 36% of the gross would come to the same economic benefit for us

Good afternoon gullible fantasists, is the pipe open and the $156pb sludge crawling through it?

I do hope that you gullible suckers understand what the below is saying. In the City this is understood to be a CYA statement. Epicure trying to distance themselves from what is going down?

"It’s important to remember that @apikur_oil is not directly participating or negotiating contracts".

I see that $6pb has again surfaced which of course dismisses sarah's ludicrous $156pb.

The buybacks don't appear to be helping the situation do they. But there again I did mention that buybacks are usually sold into:-)

Always happy to help.

'Profit-sharing contract' now being thrown around. This is what Total got in July 23. Anyone have any idea how these differ from service contracts?

Council of Ministers: We will not be an obstacle to the resumption of oil exportsRudaw Digital 57 mins ago.The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has announced that it will not be an obstacle to the resumption of oil exports from the Kurdistan Region. Prime Minister Masrour Barzani chaired a meeting of the Council of Ministers today (Wednesday, June 12, 2024) in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Gubad Talabani. In the first item of the meeting, the results of the recent visit of the Kurdistan Regional Government delegation and representatives of oil companies to Baghdad and their meeting with the Iraqi Oil Ministry on the issue of resumption of oil exports. "The Secretary of the Council of Ministers discussed the measures to resume oil exports from the Kurdistan Region and the details of the recent talks between the two governments and oil companies," the government said in a statement. "The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) delegation has emphasized that measures and mechanisms should be established to resolve all obstacles to the resumption of oil exports through SOMO as soon as possible," Rahim said "The revenue from the sale of oil should be included in the revenue of the Iraqi general treasury to serve expenditures, so that the general treasury of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region will no longer be harmed." "This is the wish of both the Kurdistan Regional Government, the federal government and the oil companies," he said. "In the meetings in Baghdad, we expressed the readiness of the Kurdistan Regional Government to facilitate any work in this regard, taking into account the constitutional principles and powers and the common public interest, and the meetings will continue in this framework," Rahim said. The Cabinet praised the efforts of the negotiating team and stressed that; The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) will not be an obstacle to the resumption of oil exports and wants to reach a final agreement as soon as possible. In the last tripartite meeting of the Iraqi Oil Ministry, the Kurdistan Regional Government delegation and the companies in Baghdad reached an agreement to change the production joint contract to profit joint contract; The Iraqi Oil Ministry has promised to repay $1 billion in loans to companies over 10 years, stabilizing oil extraction fees at $8 "The contracts in the Kurdistan Region are joint production contracts. We in the federal government and as the oil ministry do not think this issue can be discussed because it is against the constitution. The contracts we are making are close," he said In production sharing contracts, we call it profit sharing, so the Ministry of Natural Resources can amend it and change it to profit sharing contracts."According to the latest agreement between Erbil and Baghdad, the companies handed over their contracts to the Iraqi Oil Ministry. Kurdistan oil exports have been suspended since 25-03-2023 and have not yet resumed.

Demand from Abu Dhabi for Heavy crude.

UAE ups Iraqi oil purchases to feed upgraded refinery.

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) imported two Basrah heavy crude cargoes from Iraq in April and May.

ADNOC recently upgraded the Ruwais refinery, enhancing its efficiency and ability to handle heavier, lower-cost crudes. The move aims to boost the output of high-value petroleum products, like gasoline and diesel.

I still wish they would wake up and smell the coffee. "If thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out."

Declare independence, restart the oil flow. get Turkey to pay them ,reassure AKIPUR
,get investors and military from US etc

Stranger things have happened but they must be worn down by constant visits, committees getting nowhere with no money.Iraq could join Iran- makes sense on so many fronts and the hate lines would be better defined.

Joking when I wrote this but things are afoot as the Kurds are not happy.

Given all these attempts at rapprochement with the US,the Kurds could ask to become part of Turkey. They are both Sunni and could supply it with oil through the pipeline and get water in exchange. They more in common with the Turks than the rest of IRAQ and would become part of NATO eventually applying to join The European Union. With the world adopting right wing leaders, consolidation is the key, on the principle that he that is not for us is against us as exemplified by this BB when someone does not show 100% allegiance.
