On the face of it could seems a poor result only to produce a preliminary agreement

unless that is they are both agreed that the bulk of the credit needs to go to Biden and The USA concluding a dramatic rapprochement/ way forward when Sudani visits.

Vallares bought Genel and paid $1.50/b for oil resource in the ground. DGA 13.7bx$1.50=$20.55b is $92 or £73/share. ECRE 9.277bx$1.50=$13.9b is $62 or £50/share. Woods 4.2bx$1.50=$6.3b is $28 or £22/share. Gkp has 80%WI that is £58,£40 or£17 per share

"The President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, discussed today, Sunday, at Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad, with the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Bafel Talabani, the overall political, security and economic situation in Iraq in general and the Kurdistan Region in particular.

Rashid stressed in a statement, a copy of which {Al-Furat News} received, "the necessity of continuing consultations and meetings between the federal government and the regional government and adopting dialogue to resolve the remaining outstanding issues in the interest of all Iraqis."

Rashid appreciated "the efforts that contributed to reaching an appropriate solution to the issue of allocating salaries to employees of the Kurdistan region, and reaching understandings about the export of oil from the Kurdistan region and its positive impact on the political, economic and social stability in the country."

The President of the Republic pointed out "the necessity of strengthening relations and consolidating cooperation between the institutions of the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government to implement the government program in order to provide services to citizens."

Rashid also stressed the importance of holding elections in the Kurdistan region with the participation of all political parties in the region to ensure their transparency and embodiment of the aspirations of the Kurds in choosing their representatives.

In turn, Talabani explained “the necessity of giving priority to the interests of Iraqi citizens over partisan interests,” noting that “the National Union continues its efforts to resolve the rest of the issues.” And the outstanding issues between the federal government and the regional government and ensuring the rights of the Kurdish people in accordance with the Constitution and what is stipulated in the relevant laws, indicating that the Union supports holding the region’s elections and is keen on the participation of all Kurdish political forces and ensuring their right to electoral practice.”

Well we had Barzani saying Friday he and Sudani had found an appropriate solution.
He the arrives in Baghdad for meetings.
Sounds like the meetings went well from news articles.
No mention of APIKUR of oil co payment extraction amounts.
I can only think Barzani has decided the Krg will pay an amount of costs towards extraction/ payments.
Sudani in US in a week for talks centred around restart of pipeline.
We need Habshan to give us his thoughts/ breakdown of events.

I have never, ever claimed to be an "Expert" - not on ESP, not on turbines, not on geo-physical or -petroleum areas. Never.

I do have very specialist knowledge of several areas of technology, none of which I believe you even have an inkling of and all in the design & application of specialist engineering equipment not in the O&G industry.

I have always stayed clear of people who claim to be "experts", as they are generally anything but - except of course in their conceit and self-regard. Those who know me can confirm that I am anything but conceited or self-regarding - perhaps how I formulate my arguments, my grammar or whatever gets up some noses?

Re my support for Oilman and bigdog (Ren no longer posts so unfortunately I can no longer support his particular arguments), as I have said before, both of these gentlemen have been attacked and vilified to an extraordinary degree - Oilman and his wife were targeted to an extraordinary extent. I am happy to confirm my continued support for these 2 chaps - especially when they continue to point out your (generic use) failings.

What on earth do you expect on a BB where, for years and thousands of posts, nonsensical spam about "the barrels", "it's the Chinese", "it's the institutions robbing us", etc., etc., seem to rule? Anyone who challenges this nonsense deserves to be supported - and if their challenges are sometimes quite barbed and provocative, why are you surprised?
