"No one wanted the company when it was up for sale prior to the great shareholder wipeout of 14th July 2016 and DNO walked away after offering around 70p ps cash."

Now then Sarah, you're really not very good at this are you, it's been explained to you many times before:-

"The board of Gulf Keystone has rejected DNO ASA's proposal to acquire the total share capital of the company, which it received by letter on July 28.

"Completion of the restructuring best serves our stakeholders and we will not engage in any additional process that causes the company to be distracted from that objective. The company has responded to DNO accordingly", Gulf Keystone said in a company statement.

Cantor Fitzgerald Oil Analyst Sam Wahab tells Proactive - "In terms of DNO I think they're really playing down the value of Shaikan as an asset which comes across as slightly contrived in my opinion given that if they didn't believe it to be a good producer they wouldn't be coming back to the table looking to acquire it again."

It's already been over £3 without an agreement so to suggest that as a max with a oil and gas law in place is nonsense.

Do oil companies usually pay 25-50 times more than they could buy the company for!!!

No one wanted the company when it was up for sale prior to the great shareholder wipeout of 14th July 2016 and DNO walked away after offering around 70p ps cash.

So to put such a ludicrous value on the company suggests drugs are in evidence.

And that's before the new terms are known, lol, lol.

Its possible to use a variety of methodologies to value GKP.Net entitlement reserves are huge and have an NPV justifying a sale price well in excess of $ 4bn - around £14 /share+Currently the company is debt free - by now pushing $ 85m at bank and generating annualised FCF/profits of approx $ 50m even on local sales pricing. When Baghdad capitulate as we are seeing is in progress exports resume , we are looking at
$ 400-450 EBITDA for 2025On a multiple of 12 - looking at $5bn valuation - $ 17/share.Given the prospectivity remaining in Shaikan and the incredibly low lift costs plus existing infra-stucture , the competition amongst majors to buy this interest in such a prized asset will be extremely high.Hence IMO takeover will be minimum £ 25 /share.

Kurdistan Watch@KurdistanWatch

Turkish President Erdogan's upcoming meeting with Biden in Washington on May 9th marks their first encounter since Biden assumed office which may hold important implications for the Kurdistan Region for the following reasons:

1. The timing of Erdogan's visit closely follows Biden's discussions with the Iraqi PM, which likely included Erbil-Baghdad relations and the resumption of KRG oil exports via Turkey as key agenda points.

2. Turkey is a direct stakeholder in the resumption of KRG oil exports, and this meeting coincides with Turkey's planned large-scale offensive against the PKK deep within the Kurdistan Region's territory.

3. Speculation suggests that Turkey's offensive aims to establish a military zone encompassing the Iraq-Turkey-Syria triangle, a critical route for the U.S. to rotate troops in and out of northeast Syria.

4. Discussions on the future of the U.S. troop presence in Syria will also have direct implications for the Kurdistan Region, given that a) the U.S. troop presence in northeast Syria and Erbil are interconnected, and b) northeast Syria, the only other Kurdish-ruled entity, is considered the western flank of the Kurdistan Region. Its potential fall could lead to a KDP pushback from the Iraq-Syria-Turkey triangle, resulting in a direct border connection between Turkey and Iraq, as well as a physical disconnection between the Kurdistan Region and northeast Syria.

Considering these events' convergence, both the Iraqi PM's meeting and Erdogan's visit are expected to have direct implications for the Kurdistan Region's future and its power equilibrium.

Al-Arab is an Emirates newspaper, the illegal and unconstitutional decisions of Baghdad and the so called Supreme Court are being brought to the attention of the wider world, and that can only have a negative impact on Iraq's standing and on the dealings that the international community and potential investors have with Iraq. As the headline says the Federal Government can only be weaked by their behaviour which is the sort of repressive behaviour that is expected from the likes of other repressive regimes around the world.

"The newspaper affirms that Kurds are an integral part of Iraq, recognized by the Iraqi constitution as a significant partner with all rights intact. It deems the Federal Court's decisions regarding Kurdish parliamentary elections and employee rights, as well as submitting the oil and gas law to the federal government without considering Kurdistan's legitimate status, as illegal."

Baseless attacks on the Kurdistan Region ultimately weaken Federal Government: Al-Arab.

While acknowledging the Kurdistan Region’s demands as legitimate, the newspaper directs blame towards Baghdad, citing Federal Court decisions as examples of injustices against Kurds.

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) - The Al-Arab newspaper of the United Arab Emirates has published an article, written by Adham Ibrahim, on the Kurds in Iraq, discussing pending issues between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government over the past decades. It highlights cases where various Iraqi cabinets have decided against the people of Kurdistan.

While acknowledging the Kurdistan Region’s demands as legitimate, the newspaper directs blame towards Baghdad, citing Federal Court decisions as examples of injustices against Kurds. It notes the historical use of military methods as ineffective against the Kurdish will.

In 1970, the signing of the March 11 Accords recognized some Kurdish cultural and ethnic rights, but Baghdad later reneged on its promises. The Kurdistan Region gained semi-independence with the beginning of the Persian Gulf War in 1991.

“Following the fall of the Iraqi regime in 2003”, the article notes, “Shiites no longer considered Kurds as their former allies. Consequently, the Kurdish problem resurfaced, with Shiite decision-makers focusing on seizing power regardless of Kurds and Sunnis, using government resources.”

The article discusses key factors exacerbating differences between the Kurdistan region and the federal government, including the oil and gas law, implementation of Article 140, budget disparities between Peshmerga forces and Hashd al-Shaabi militias, and religious-based political imbalances.

Proposed solutions include active participation by all parties in Iraq's political process, emphasizing that foreign political agendas have not benefited Iraqis. Acknowledging Kurdish aspirations, the article warns against baseless attacks on the Kurdistan Region, which ultimately weaken the federal government.

Al-Arab asserts that political decisions in Iraq often prioritize satisfying neighboring countries and regional powers, suggesting a lack of independence in Iraqi decision-making.

The newspaper affirms that Kurds are an integral part of Iraq, recognized by the Iraqi constitution as a significant partner with all rights intact. It deems the Federal Court's decisions regarding Kurdish parliamentary elections and employee rights, as well as submitting the oil and gas law to the federal government without considering Kurdistan's legitimate status, as illegal.

Seems to me that the way forward now is a deal with Turkey until September 2025 then its all clear for the pipeline and possible autonomy.

Biden just asked Ukraine to stop bombimg Russian oil refineries due to oil price increasing, to help with US elections this year, so any new oil coming to the market will help either stabilise and maybe reduce oil, so makes perfect sense

I wouldn't know pt never having owned a taxi.

But if its a topic you need help with just ask johnyladyboy as she will have had the experience of removing various stains as a result of running a business from the back seat of her Merc on various Commons.

There you go again queen lemming sarah believing in what you desperately want to believe when there is overwhelming evidence that nothing that gets announced out there can be believed.

The desperation of you clueless rampers knows no bounds which after 15 years of failed predictions hype spin lies deceit and excuses is understandable. The share price is 1p rather proving the rampers have been and still are wrong about everything.

It appears to me that Baghdad want to cut down as far as possible on all the shenanigans that have plagued the area over the years and to do that they need various information. So why is that proving so very difficult to achieve if everyone is in compliance with that aim. Or are they.

IRAQ: Wait until the pipeline agreement has expired and do a deal with TR on your special and advantageous terms (offset fines, sweeteners, etc, etc, etc). SOMO exports to be verifyable and only SOMO-controlled exports to be allowed. Include Force Majeure clause specifically mentioning non-ssovereign actors.
ALT: As allowed by current agreement, start renegotiating new agreement before expiry of old one. Agree offsets etc as previous.
Kurd: Say "No agreement that allows SOMO to utilize and control our export facilities at FK".
Iraq + USA: "That's unreasonable - state marketing authority SOMO are saying that Kurd crude will be part of the blend!"
Roll over...
Iraq to make public the list of US recipients of Kurd largesse..
APIKUR can go whistle..

"I haven't seen any proof of Queen lemming sarah's rantings that Epicure are telling Baghdad they had better give them what they want!!!"

The proof that APIKUR are in control Sarah is the fact that there's nothing to see.

Because the pipeline's shut.

Because APIKUR won't produce the oil to put in it.

Even the Iraqi Oil Ministry acknowledge who's in control Sarah.

"The Iraqi oil ministry on Monday blamed the international oil companies (IOCs) working in the Kurdistan Region for not reopening the pipeline."

Everybody can see it except you.

Because you're an idiot.

Good afternoon gullible fantasists I note that you're all telling yourselves how Biden is desperate to get 400k of oil onto the Market, lol, lol.

Only yesterday it was brought to my attention how much oil the Yanks are now producing and exporting and you morons think that Biden is desperate for 400k a day to bring the Oil price down, lol, lol, lol.

Is Carroll again saying that the company is sold just like she's been saying for 10 years, lol.

Hey scotty snowflake its Day 371 of the pipe being closed to the sludge and quality oil that you said would be open in a few days, lol. Or looking at another of your predictions its Day 89 of you saying it would be open "soon", lol.

I haven't seen any proof of Queen lemming sarah's rantings that Epicure are telling Baghdad they had better give them what they want!!! If Epicure held any cards why are there the need for meetings and begging letters sent to the Yanks? Queen lemming sarah is just typing out what she and you desperately need and want to read!! Like she's always done!!! Keep inventing all your ludicrous fantasies suckers as its providing entertainment for so many of us that understand the reality:-)
