Perhaps. Mkts are so irrational bad or good doesn't seem to compute!
So what I am doing on a small scale is really trying to profit from volatility.
Might come in at expectations and have muted response.
I need > 1.5% swings to do very well , less than 0.9% wont be a winner.

I am both - I have out of money daily DJIA puts and calls.
So I need big moves either way to profit -
Strategy IF there is a BIG move immediately after CPI + Labour numbers , I will take profits on whichever way it moves within an hr - and then bank and add to whichever position ( shot to pieces remains) - hoping for big moves up or down then large intraday rebound/fall.............

If no big moves
Defeat!!!

LSE is the same. Any really positive post, by someone on the ground for example ( like the one you describe ) is removed very quickly. Yet the trolls and their rubbish are left well alone.

They give the game away.

And why has this post from lunchtime which has so far received 21 green ticks not appeared on the top posts board:-

You would think that the simple automatic mechanism which normally picks up such posts and should need no human intervention would have picked it up and put it there where it would have remained for the next week, it should be at the top of that board but it isn't, it's missing.

Someone is heavily selling or buying. There were 2 similar trades yesterday after hours and on tuesday too.

Nth sea oilies PMG and JOG I am in both down about 9% today so GKP down 2.8% doesn't seem too bad. Brent is $92.57

Ptmorris, Im waiting for the 200s.If I dip out so be it but they can drop it to where they want, to a degree, and you know they will.
