The big plus for Kurdistan in the Geopolitical game that has been going on for a decade or more are the number of US military bases in Country, with more planned. I cant see the US allowing either the Chinese or Russia to get a serious foothold in the Kurdish Oil Industry.

Shouldn’t we be more helpful on this chat to encourage folk instead of spouting off about the same thing over and over again or given misleading information. There’s a fantastic amount of knowledge on this site which should be used to inform and educate people, not endless drivel from certain folk.

I don’t post often, but when I do I try and give factual information and it sums up that person when he says he is going to filter me 🙄🤷‍♂️

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region - Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi arrived in the Kurdistan Region’s capital Erbil early Monday to meet top Kurdish officials and to attend a memorial of the late president of Iraq and leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Jalal Talabani.

Accompanied by Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, the two officials were received by the Region’s Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani, and several ministers at Erbil International Airport.

“We have a long conversation ahead,” PM Barzani said in a tweet. “Security, energy, and finances on top of the agenda.”

Kadhimi and PM Barzani stressed the need for conducting dialogue to resolve the outstanding issues between Baghdad and Erbil, and the need to continue cooperation in efforts made towards overcoming the existing obstacles, according to statements from both officials.
