Good Morning Jamie 😃

There has been so many times they have said that over the last ten years 😂

They've got to keep that gravy train running.

Carrot and donkey for private investors.

Lots of statements with zero actual data points or factual numbers to base their consensus upon. The reason for that is the disunity between Iraq and KRI could not be more obvious.

The most collaborative moment was in fact when ISIS came when Hawrami completely messed up.

Apart from the ones already there, no MNCs are headed for Kurdistan. Experience says a lot.

Look at the gas industry initiative, hot air promises that never got off the ground.

Carroll and the Muppets are simply incoherent, as a takeover in this situation doesn't get anywhere close to recovering their losses. Beyond redemption.

Good morning mac,

enjoy the good weather while you can!

Re same, same, an ice cream for you if you can guess when the following was said (hint - it was quite a while ago!):

"Today [Monday] the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister X, following the visit to Erbil of Iraqi Federal Finance Minister Y, welcomed the new efforts made by all parties in the federal government on Iraq’s planned oil and gas legislation.

“We have had excellent discussions with Finance Minister Y,” said Prime Minister X. “The formation of the new government in Baghdad under the premiership of Dr Z has clearly been an opportunity to address these important oil and gas issues. The planned legislation will address oil and gas revenue distribution policy and improved oil exports.”

Federal legislation

Prime Minister X confirmed that the KRG has received from the federal government proposed drafts of an Iraqi National Oil Company (INOC) law and a revenue sharing law from Baghdad for the KRG’s review.

On the progress made on the advancement of much needed federal legislation, Prime Minister X stated, “It is essential that all the inter-related laws of the INOC, Federal Hydrocarbon Law and the Ministry of Oil Restructuring Law are presented to the Parliament as a package to ensure consistency and to avoid further delays.”

On cooperation with Baghdad, Prime Minister X said, “The KRG believes that close cooperation on oil and gas strategy and export policies is vital to the security and well-being of the people of Iraq.”

He added, “The KRG Ministry of Natural Resources has accepted an invitation to support the advisory office of the federal Prime Minister and its international consultants on an integrated energy strategy for all of Iraq.”"

I note that ThickTony (Paul the Stockport bore) has a follower, Urals (Paul the Stockport bore).

Why does he bother, is he trying to be amusing? No worries, there will be enough of those soon:-)

You shouldn't let sarahgibbs translate anything as they even got the samimack report massively wrong and that was in English:-)

Another meeting to "agree" stuff? Are you sure they don't just get together to swap different flavour biscuits?

Hi 0illi0Do you have a link to the translated newsfeed? Although we have heard similar reports many times about agreements being close this report sounds very promising and fingers crossed we may be getting somewhere? Biscuit munching can't go on forever and both sides now really need to sort things out as they are both hurting badly in this post Covid-19 eco environment.

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – The Russian government on Friday accused the United States of “illegally trading” in Syria’s oil resources, in response to media reports that local Kurdish-led forces in northeastern had Syria made an agreement with an American company to modernize oilfields there.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R, South Carolina) first revealed on July 30 that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the partner of the anti-ISIS Coalition in northeast Syria, had signed a deal with the US firm, Delta Crescent Energy.

Graham’s remarks came during testimony from Secretary of State Mike Pompeo before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on the State Department’s budget for the next fiscal year. Pompeo confirmed his support for the oil agreement.

Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the deal amounted to “systematic violations of international legal standards and international humanitarian law by Washington, its commitments as an occupying power.”

Moscow’s statement claimed the US is “illegally occupying territories in the northeast and south of Syria.
