20/7/2019 18:26 | Agree with that BB, wasting funds on a pathetic buyback is desperate and pointless. | ![]() bigdog5
20/7/2019 16:21 | Yes precisely Chinese. The company have told ( indirectly) their shareholders that a sale is nearby.Fair enough they do have a duty of care not to prejudice minority outside holders. This analysis makes a great deal of sense in which case looks like a takeover will be announced within 2-3weeksI only hope they have concentrated equity by some cash buyback off market - that would boot profits far higher, after all the huge cash hroom needs utilising. News next 2-3weeks if so https://twitter.com/ | ![]() urals
20/7/2019 16:08 | The really prescient point Urals is that they are only bothering to buy shares into Treasury to satisfy VESTING share options.Obviously no options can vest for years without a change of control. So a sale is now a certainty within a few weeks.https://twitte | chinese_takeaway

20/7/2019 15:09 | Hi mac, yes - I know what his old boss wants him to do, but I hear that there are some others, still influential enough to have some say in the matter, who are not happy with that. We'll see what happens within the next 2 weeks. | ![]() broadford bay

20/7/2019 12:51 | It seems that, despite having migrated from AIM (cowboy country) to the Main Board (serious bods), the mindset of those running GKP is still firmly mired in a "take as much as you can, while you can" state. None of the BOD or senior management impress. No wonder Charlie Guthrie left, before his reputation took too big a hit. What serious finance guy would allow $75M (more than 25% of its free cash) to be bled from a company at this stage of its Capex-intensive development? One bad hole and Puff, it's gone! (Hyperbole) All is definitely not what it seems at the moment. News in 2 weeks... | ![]() broadford bay
20/7/2019 12:34 | Predictive hyped numbers, costs, fully funded, lol. Is that why the finance guys are on their bikes? Was it only the gas issue that got the FDP thrown out by the MNR? All about the info that doesn't get announced? All is not what it seems, lofl. | ![]() bigdog5
19/7/2019 22:18 | Oilman this afternoon - "Here's some more news for the sad acts. Cashti is being given more power not less. Spin that muppet." Nine days ago it was reported that Ashti Hawrami had been removed by the new Prime Minister Masrour Barzani from his position as the Minister of Natural Resources, and that the MNR would henceforth be overseen by Barzani himself. Hawrami has been moved to an "advisory" role. What operational role he will play as an "advisor" remains unclear. The Minister of Natural Resources normally sits on the five man Oil and Gas Council which is headed by the Prime Minister and which is the ultimate decision maker within the Kurdish energy sector. The five man council is made up of the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Natural Resources, the Minister of Finance and Economy, and the Minister of Planning. As Hawrami is no longer the Minister of Natural Resources and as it is not known what his new "advisory" role or job title is, it is not clear if he will still sit on the Oil and Gas council and therefore be part of the ultimate decision making process. Maybe this has got something to do with it:- "My top objective is to combat corruption and carry out reform," Barzani added." "Corruption in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region has been a challenge for successive governments." hxxps://www.iraqoilr | ![]() habshan
19/7/2019 19:37 | Yup, NOR. That northern Iraq pipeline might just get more important. But it's beginning to look difficult to buy this buyback programme at a reasonable price. :) | ![]() pensioner2

19/7/2019 17:38 | Another finance guy out the door? Will johnyboy get a call to invent some numbers? Mr H get's even more power? So he's had promotion? That can't be viewed as positive as he ain't no fan of this Company. The share price down again so the wasting of funds is having the opposite effect, as predicted. Another day and even more "issues" add to all the others n'est ce pas. Institutions have dumped, significant shareholders have walked, two finance guys out the door, hyped plans, dividends and now the buybacks have all failed re the share price All facts. Spin that suckers:-) | ![]() bigdog5
