Erbil Delegation to Visit Baghdad for Talks over Government Formation
ERBIL — A delegation from the Kurdistan Region will visit Baghdad to discuss the efforts for establishing a new government for Iraq, an official said.

Speaking to BasNews, Saad Matlabi, a leading member for the State of Law Coalition, said that the visit will take place in the nearest future.

He declined revealing further details about the future meeting’s timetable, but said that the sides will extend talks they had started earlier in Erbil.

On Friday, a joint delegation from the State of Law and al-Fatih Coalition, both Shi’ite blocks close to Iran, visited Erbil and held talks with leading Kurdish political parties.

Matlabi described their visit to the Kurdistan Region as successful and productive.
