GKP are in Dublin in December. You have the chance to actually go and see it and be closer to reality than to speculation.

Up to you.

KM: I feel your pain and have done all the way down but don't you think that a number of those have lost also?

Don't "try to forget", try to learn.

The biggie as I've been saying since 2013 was what happened in 2011/2012, the Lithuanians statements IMO key.

You really ought to try and expand your own knowledge and attempt to do your own research instead of heavily relying on that of other bloggers.

KM, the market conditions have affected numerous oilers

PCI gone
Afren gone
Xcite gone

Genel shares are worth 1/14th of what they were in 2014 - the equivalent of just 7%.

And so on and so on

In many ways Gulf are lucky to still be listed IMO.

There are a lot of bombed out oil stocks at the moment, some poised for recovery some that might fail but the point is, the backside has been kicked out of the majority of them.

It's up to you what you do with what you have left but I think a valuable lesson for all is to spread your risk. Buy a small amount in GKP even if only to allow you to go to the AGM and get a better understanding of why the company is where it is and see if you can make a decision about whether it's worth investing more in the future.

As for the conspiracy theorists, their theories only ever suit a favourable outcome, the Sp isn't consistent with what they say. GKP are coming soon to a hotel near you. Buy a small handful of shares and go and find out for yourself.

Right but wrong IMO

I reckon it's one friendly bidder

-------
I stress that this is conjecture, but the very absence of further material institutional selling and “holding RNS’s” has me lean towards the likelihood of another interested party and that these institutions have been brought “inside”. If this is the case they would be put into a position of what is called “restricted221; and thus unable to trade in the stock. Try as I might I cannot think of any other reason not to sell £10 for £50 on their part. As for any interested bidders – the list is potentially v long. What DNO did was put their marker in the ground and so start a potential “auction”; at the lowest possible price. Pretty clever on their part and precisely what I would do.
