https://x.com/apikur_oil/status/1905721045862228210 Press Release* March 28, 2025APIKUR OBJECTS TO THE IRAQI MINISTRY OF OIL'S ACTIONSDesignated International Oil Companies (IOCs), along with the Kurdistan Regional Government, have been negotiating in good faith with the Government of Iraq (GOI), including directly with Prime Minister Sudani's office, to reach a resolution to resume exports through the Iraqi-Türkiye pipeline in accordance with our legal agreements and the Iraqi budget law. We understand today the Ministry of Oil has demonstrated it is unwilling to negotiate a solution that honors IOCs contract sanctity and is attempting to establish a process to unilaterally alter the economic framework of legal and valid contracts between the KRG and IOCs. These actions by the Ministry of Oil are not acceptable, and the member companies of APIKUR will not resume exports until there is commitment from the GOI to honor our contracts including payment surety for past and future exports. |
https://www.kurdistan24.net/en/story/832224 ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) The Association of the Petroleum Industry of Kurdistan (APIKUR) has expressed strong dissatisfaction with the Iraqi Ministry of Oil's handling of negotiations regarding oil exports through the Iraq-Turkey pipeline, accusing Baghdad of attempting to unilaterally alter legally binding contracts.International oil companies (IOCs) operating in the Kurdistan Region, in coordination with the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), have engaged in negotiations with the Government of Iraq (GOI)-including direct discussions with Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani's office-to reach a resolution for resuming exports in line with legal agreements and Iraq's budget law. However, APIKUR announced that Iraq's Oil Ministry has shown an unwillingness to negotiate a solution that respects the sanctity of contracts signed between IOCs and the KRG. Instead, the ministry is reportedly working to establish a unilateral framework that would alter the economic terms of these valid agreements.APIKUR's Firm Stance: No Exports Without GuaranteesAPIKUR categorically rejected the Ministry of Oil's approach, declaring that its member companies will not restart oil exports unless Baghdad makes a clear commitment to:Honor existing contractsEnsure payment guarantees for past and future exportsAPIKUR described Baghdad's unilateral attempts to reshape contract terms as unacceptable, warning that without adherence to the original agreements, there will be no resumption of exports through the Iraq-Turkey pipeline.Export Impasse and Economic RepercussionsThe pipeline, which transported approximately 450,000 barrels per day before its closure in March 2023, remains offline due to political and legal disputes. APIKUR's latest statement underscores the growing frustration of oil companies over Baghdad's handling of the matter, raising concerns about the economic impact on both Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. As the standoff continues, observers warn that prolonged delays in resuming exports could further strain relations between Erbil and Baghdad, while reducing Iraq's overall oil revenues at a time of global energy uncertainty. |
You have to wonder what Iraq are playing at. They're putting all their effort into trying to get out of paying a measly billion almost like they're oblivious that they're on the block to get sanctioned into oblivion. |
Not everyone but and lost in old money, something that you struggle with excepting and acknowledging |
Enjoy nest. I'm on the JD again. |
Lol . It keeps us amused JBG. Fri night I might have a Batemans xxxb or 2 a fine ale . |
Whoops, more trolling. |
Is it the fireworks you've been posting about for the past three weeks johnyladyboy?? Or that you only need another £8 on the share price to break even, lol.
£4.60 down to 2p rather than 1p, lol. Yes I can understand why there's all the excitement here from the clueless and extremely desperate fantasists, lol. Anything even mildly positive has you all talking about Kylie and Ferraris and buying castles and takeout parties, lol, lol. |
BigdogSarah5IQ trolling again I see. That's four days in a row.
Somethings about to kick off imo. Fill yer boots. |
"I also note that a new poster has rocked up spouting about the share price doubling."
It's you that was spouting about the share price doubling Sarah.
Last September you were spouting about it being 1p and yesterday you were spouting about it being 2p.
In my book that's a doubling of the share price, and if you hadn't mentioned it I doubt if anybody else would have.
So what are you wittering on about now.
Has it doubled or has it not. |
What's amusing to me Sarah is knowing that you're penniless and that you'll probably off yourself with an old bit of rope once the pipeline is open :-) |
Wakes up across the pond and starts working...Yankee Doodle Condog USA based paid LEAD BASHER 31,046 POSTS ,YES THIRTY THOUSAND ONLY on THIS COMPANY all NEGATIVE .STOCK BASHING This scheme is usually orchestrated by online message board posters (a.k.a. "Bashers") who make up false and/or misleading information about the target company in an attempt to get shares for a cheaper price. . |
It would have been more useful to us if BP had held off signing until the pipeline was open. But then, I guess, BP wouldn't be able to keep picking up more GKP shares! |
It would have been more useful to us if BP had held off signing until the pipeline was flowing again. But I guess they wanted to maximise their number of GKP shares. |
I've more faith in the US holding the ICG feet to the fire. UK is a diminishing force in world affairs and getting smaller everyday, an anchovy. |
So it's ok for the British department of oil and energy security to back Kurdistan but not our own North Sea production, then all of a sudden it's a net zero problem |
https://www.basnews.com/en/babat/879310 ERBIL - In a rare and explicit show of support for the Kurdistan Region, the British government has reaffirmed its backing for the resumption of Kurdish oil exports and emphasized the need for fair financial cooperation between Erbil and Baghdad. The statement, released Thursday by the UK's Department for Energy Security & Net Zero and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, came in response to questions posed by Kurdistan 24.London stressed that restoring oil exports from the Kurdistan Region and resolving financial disputes are essential for Iraq's long-term stability and prosperity. The ministries called on Baghdad to ensure monthly and timely salary payments to employees of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), reflecting rising international concern over the fiscal strain on Erbil. The British government underscored that "greater coordination between Erbil and Baghdad would promote prosperity and reinforce political and economic stability" across all of Iraq.Oil exports from the Kurdistan Region remain suspended due to political disagreements, legal disputes, and technical constraints related to export routes, leaving the KRG in financial limbo and severely impacting its ability to fund public services. The UK's message comes amid a deepening economic crisis in the Kurdistan Region, driven by stalled exports and inconsistent budget transfers from the Iraqi federal government. The British call for resolution echoes similar appeals from other Western allies advocating for institutional cohesion and budgetary fairness. The UK also acknowledged the recently reported deal between BP and the Iraqi government to develop four oil fields in the disputed province of Kirkuk, an area with historic ties to the Kurdistan Region but currently outside the KRG's administrative control. While confirming its awareness of the BP-Baghdad deal, the British government expressed interest in investing in both federal and regional oil sectors, noting that "we also want to invest in the Kurdistan Region."The statement reflects London's strategic interest in maintaining balanced ties with both Baghdad and Erbil, and a commitment to inclusive energy development that respects the rights and contributions of the Kurdistan Region. The British government's direct engagement on these sensitive matters signals growing concern among international stakeholders over Iraq's internal economic rifts and the urgent need to prevent further deterioration. As diplomatic channels remain open, the UK's position sends a strong signal: international actors are closely monitoring the situation and are prepared to advocate for equitable solutions that preserve Iraq's unity and support the rightful role of the Kurdistan Region in the country's economic future. |
This Development Road Project that we've read so much about and which is so important to both Turkey and Iraq needs to go through Kurdistan, and it won't be going ANYWHERE unless the Kurds are happy and agree to it.
It's an important bargaining chip.
Zoom:-
"No agreement has been reached between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Iraqi Federal Government on the Development Road Project, KRG’s Minister of Transport and Communications, Ano Jawhar, announced in a post on X. He called recent claims of a finalized agreement “entirely false”, noting that the last official meeting was on May 23, 2024, in Erbil, where a joint protocol was signed outlining the next steps."
Rudaw - “The Development Road passes through the Kurdistan Region, as 11 kilometers pass through Duhok province,” he said, adding that “there is significant coordination between the government and the region in this regard.” |
Simon - "but the fact is indisputable, the share price has doubled."
Indeed.
But Sarah doesn't do indisputable facts, she prefers the made up kind, preferably ones she's made up herself, but any made up fact will do as long as it supports her "GKP is a basket case" agenda. |
Im not sure a few words to a reporter constitutes getting stuck in. Blocking a few bank accounts and aid programmes might concentrate minds more effectively!! . |
