05/6/2024 05:47 | An alternative would be to sue the ICG in an international court and prove what a sham the so called supreme court is in the process. | shortsqueezer
05/6/2024 05:31 | H7, hope you are correct however APIKUR possibly invited for a darker reason SCAPEGOAT ! "As we told you IOCs unwilling to negotiate reasonably." | hydrocarbon1
05/6/2024 03:42 | AKIPUR represents, it doesn't dictate. Key difference. Not so. If you want another example of an APIKUR look no further than OPEC. It dictates the wishes of its members. Thats why it was formed. Its a pressure group. APIKUR has made it crystal clear what the ICG has to do if it wants oil production in Kurdistan in the future. The fact the ICG wasnt listening until recently is a different issue. The reality is that the ICG is terrified that an APIKUR type organisation will spring up in Southern Iraq and worse , join forces with APIKUR. But it has been eventually forced to negotiate and include APIKUR in the discussions. | highlander7
05/6/2024 03:37 | john@john78846295: Jun 3 Iraqi Sunni politician Mashan al-Jabouri said he believes that under the current positive atmosphere, the agreements between Erbil and Baghdad will be implemented, including Kurdistan's oil exports | highlander7
04/6/2024 21:16 | Adam: unfortunately - APIKUR is like a mini Middle East OPEC cartel.... We hope that we could hopefully make a few quid.... C'est la vie... We don't know... The whole thing is a gamble... | mmt1
04/6/2024 20:58 | And they are at liberty to do for as long as they wish but don't kid yourself that members wouldn't leave if they saw an advantage. AKIPUR represents, it doesn't dictate. Key difference. | adamrugen1066
04/6/2024 20:53 | Nice aspirations but what are APIKUR going to do if a member goes rogue? Send round the union police?Whether members CHOOSE to act as one is exactly that, a choice. APIKUR is just a talking shop, nothing more. | adamrugen1066

04/6/2024 19:08 | 1066 The companies themselves saw the strength in numbers in the formation of APIKUR and they still do. They need that strength to deal with governments who would take advantage of any weakness. | arcadian

04/6/2024 18:55 | "You need to shut up about APIKUR. APIKUR has no view; its members do." The founding principle of APIKUR was that it's members would speak with ONE voice. The decision to restart exports will be taken by the BoD of APIKUR. "APIKUR is a Company with a Board of Directors, an association founded to advocate for and represent the common interests of its Members and function as a joint and effective voice for its Members towards all relevant stakeholders." No individual member will be making a decision to start pumping it's oil into the export pipeline, that will be a joint decision taken by the APIKUR Board of Directors which consists of a Director or Senior Executive from each member, the deal is for 400,000 bpd and the KRG ICG and Turkey won't want it starting up in dribs and drabs. "The Members are obligated to act in good faith and to serve the common interests of APIKUR and shall under no circumstances undermine APIKUR and its objectives. Non-compliance of these obligations may result in the cessation of the Member from the Company." | habshan

04/6/2024 18:22 | You need to shut up about APIKUR. APIKUR has no view; its members do. There is no contract between the KRG and APIKUR so APIKUR cannot accept or decline anything. APIKUR is a postman to relay messages. That's it. Only individual IOCs have contracts and they will be negotiated by the individual companies. | adamrugen1066

04/6/2024 17:46 | "the entitlements of the oil companies are included in the investment budget, explaining that “oil extraction in the Kurdistan Region requires higher costs, which have been accounted for in the general budget.” “The amount included is 2.7 trillion IQD as entitlements for the oil companies operating in the Kurdistan Region," That's 2.1 billion dollars, I assume it's per year, which works out at $175 million per month. Wonder what APIKUR makes of that, I guess we'll know soon enough. | habshan
04/6/2024 17:30 | From LSE, not had time to read it will innabit! hxxps://shafaq.com/e "Sabri said that the entitlements of the oil companies are included in the investment budget, explaining that “oil extraction in the Kurdistan Region requires higher costs, which have been accounted for in the general budget.” “The amount included is 2.7 trillion IQD as entitlements for the oil companies operating in the Kurdistan Region, and approximately 1.2 trillion IQD for the transportation of the Region’s oil,” she added. “We always demand a higher allocation, considering the rugged terrain in the Kurdistan Region and the challenging extraction environment faced by the oil companies.” | confused _gerbill
