25/9/2022 22:59 | Results from the wells and data differ? 15 wells and 13 years on, Reserves have never ever been increased, current Gross numbers will have to be adjusted downwards due to all the issues that the recent wells have encountered especially the water at S12 imo. The field has shrunk massively and the overlays of the shaiCON field over London are clearly misleading and very likely wrong. S6 found water but what isn't clear is whether they would have found water much further towards the middle of the field. They didn't expect water in the middle at S12 but they found it. Reserves that have never increased despite many new wells. 2P numbers of barrels that were shown as Reserves have been moved into Resources. They couldn't find a gas cap which all you clueless clowns thought was a cert. Wells 12, 13 and 14 all experienced problems. The targeted 55k a day is still 10k short after being in the plans for 8 years or more. How much more evidence is needed to prove the view that they still don't understand the field after 13 years and that it has many expensive problems. Hasn't the person responsible for the location of the wells departed? And where is Kozel now and why? If JS was so sure of what he said how come he departed? JF joined for the asset but didn't add a single barrel. The hosts have reduced their famous 45b barrels down to way less than 3b. Reality versus fantasy. Fair value £1.25-£1.50? | bigdog5
25/9/2022 20:35 | Like I said earlier , 150 m's more oil on the flanks. re 372 I thought the pic I posted would end this debate . For years we have been debating TVDSS , GKP said the TVDSS shown in the presentation below was a 1% probability but post SH6 that moved it up to 95% IMO , 150 m's below the 2010 guessed OWC . from Nov 2010 prestation | nestoframpers
25/9/2022 19:24 | An interesting post from jackohelp (206935) on 27/06/12 where he states that the following was said in a presentation to analysts:- "We did reach OWC on SH6, 150m below target levels below spill point in the Jurassic and will add significant increments to both the aerial extent and depth of the Shaikan structure. If I take us to the outline of the Jurassic on p13, the current green area on the east of the Shaikan block pretty much extends green all the way to the remaining blue section of the block and likely into the South too of the neighbouring block. The water contact on SH6 is in the low Kure Chine C or D section, and there it is like what we found in SH4. There is possibly another OWC in the Butmah level but that requires further testing. What we have encountered is extremely high pressure of 19.2 pds/ga in the Triassic, and we need to think how to deal with this. To give some context, the Triassic usually in SH1-3 is more 12 pds/ga, so this has surprised us. During SH5 in the Kure Chine D levels there was a significant oil kick with sample gravities in the mid 30s-40s and appears to be sweet. This bodes well for the prospects below. In terms of the Jurassic matrix, the overall fracture or amount of oil retained is higher than expected, where originally it was thought 0.8%, but is now proven to be some 3%. The main takeaway on the back of SH5 SH6 is we can expect an increase again in OIP on Shaikan. " | habshan
25/9/2022 17:34 | MIRABAUD Securities Energy Research report July 2012:- Shaikan-6 Reached TD in May 2012, testing campaign underway. Located 9km east of Shaikan-2, designed to find the OWC. Log data indicated a continuous oil column in the Jurassic and Triassic, with oil shows below the pre-drill prognosed Jurassic OWC. Flank appraisal well, Shaikan-6, which was positioned to intersect the OWC, encountered oil in Jurassic and Triassic zones. Evidence from logs and core data suggests that the Jurassic OWC is located 150 metres below the company's previous interpretation, meaning that the field may extend beyond the structural spill point of the Shaikan anticline. This could have a material impact on the resource base," "We expect an additional upgrade to the resource numbers on the back of the Shaikan 5 and 6 well results which have extended the field further eastwards and established a deeper than expected Jurassic oil water contact (OWC). This could be quite significant, potentially in the order of several billion barrels of OIP". We haven't heard the last of Shaikan-6 and more investigation in that area needs to be done, they will return to it in the future. In the meantime they've got more than enough to be getting on with. | habshan |
