What is also interesting is that they are still apparently not prepared to make the FDP public. Unless of course the Q4 deadline still applies and they expect the MNR to rubber stamp it quickly.

So what they are saying is that the FID depends on what the MNR decide to do with the FDP. i.e Accept it OR reject it.

Interesting snippet I would say and they are unlikely to reject it having invested so much time assisting GKP in compiling it.

Shaikan Field Development Plan ("FDP")


Following extensive constructive engagement with the Ministry of Natural Resources ("MNR"), Gulf Keystone and its partner Kalegran B.V. (a subsidiary of MOL Hungarian Oil & Gas plc) ("MOL") have submitted a draft FDP to the MNR

The FDP includes the continued ramp-up of Jurassic oil production , an appraisal of the Triassic reservoir and a Gas Management Plan to more than halve CO2 per barrel by eliminating routine flaring

The FDP is subject to review and final approval by the MNR, the timing of which is uncertain given the scale of the project. Final investment decision ("FID") is also subject to approval of both Boards of Directors of Gulf Keystone and MOL, and the Company will provide an update at the appropriate time

Lot of interesting stuff in that RNS , but it all points to stakeholders with divergent opinions.They state the BOD face a FINAL iINVESTMENT DECISION (FID), which is really a STRATEGIC choice between continuing as an independent,and financing the future through debt.Or sell up to the highest bidder now.We will see bids shortly imo.

No Herbert (Paul), The FID relates to whether to bother going ahead with the Shaikan FDP, or just to sit at 44k/55k for a few more years.... that's pretty obvious... stop trying to see things that are not there...

To realise best value you have to induce 'competitive tension' as the directors of Cove outlined when they described how they went about forcing a public auction which became a 3 way war.It's clear now PERELLA WEINBERG are looking to do that here.
