The only claim I can see on Aquis is that their dealing costs are lower. Maybe it was a trial run for transferring 50m-60m shares where dealing costs would be relevant??

The Iraqi Ministry of Oil has officially established the new Basra Energy Company (BEC), which will be the main contractor at the giant Rumaila oilfield, under a Technical Service Contract (TSC).

Representing BEC at the ceremony, Zaid Elyaseri (BP) said the field will be developed to reach a peak production of 1.7 million barrels per day (bpd), up from the current level of approximately 1.45 million bpd.

Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul Jabbar added that, "PetroChina and BP are the two shareholders with SOMO and Basra Oil Company (BOC)." PetroChina is a subsidiary of the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC).

SOLD BEFORE CHRISTMASBANG GONE A decade or so ago, in the biggest commercial legal case of the year , over which legal costs were over £ 50m, EXPERTS on either side, in a court room , placed a value of £2-4bn on the company - when there was no production infrastructure , no production and no revenue. Huge revenues now , a doubling of reserves since then , and the market cap is less than £ 1/2 a billion. The buyer(s) investment bankers have certainly done a job on suppressing the market share price pre trade sale.Bang Gone IMO. Hi
