25/11/2021 12:21 | At some stage OAP any long term proxy buying will end , ahead of the bill being settled and publically announced.I'd expect this just prior or contemporaneous to sale. | banggone

25/11/2021 09:46 | Really handy peer group comparison metricsIf GKP were trading at sector average , would be double figures now..That's the huge market suppression, that's helped the huge accumulation by investment bankers and hedges prior to very obvious monumental TAKEOVERHTTPS://twit | banggone
25/11/2021 09:46 | SOLD BEFORE CHRISTMASBANG GONE A decade or so ago, in the biggest commercial legal case of the year , over which legal costs were over £ 50m, EXPERTS on either side, in a court room , placed a value of £2-4bn on the company - when there was no production infrastructure , no production and no revenue. Huge revenues now , a doubling of reserves since then , and the market cap is less than £ 1/2 a billion. The buyer(s) investment bankers have certainly done a job on suppressing the market share price pre trade sale.Bang Gone IMO. Hi | banggone

25/11/2021 08:45 | The OP rose because he is going to have to top it up one day , US Law requires it. Also the fact it is too little too late to make any difference and the more Biden shuts the O&G Industry down in the US the greater the OP rise will be. For sheer short term stupidity and incompetence , its hard to beat. | ![]() highlander7
25/11/2021 08:40 | H7, I read elsewhere that the majority of the 50m barrels released by the US is sour crude. Clearly that's why the release ended up with the oil price rising! We have to conclude that the bashers are right, no-one wants our sour crude. Or perhaps, the world market is short of sour crude and that was the reason to lend the oil to China? Regardless, I remain of the view that such a release has a one-off and temporary effect on the oil price and agree with Malcy that OPEC+ may well have the last word if they hold back on the extra production! | ![]() attyg
25/11/2021 05:18 | Malcy...... Oil price The attempt to manage the oil market by the US Government and its cronies failed yesterday, the release of 50m barrels of sour crude from the SPR of which 32m is loaned over 18 months the other 18m is already planned. Various others joined the gang including India with 5m bbls and UK companies 1.5m with China and South Korea still to join. Even if you are happy to assume that the US crude is not the right type of crude for US refineries and may be exported (say China…) it still takes some believing. After all if my memory is right and that the SPR is for natural disasters only (and it wasnt used when hurricane IDA took out so much of the GoM production) then what on earth is going on? Opec+ will meet next next week safe in the knowledge that they have seen the US’s hand of cards and the decision about the extra 400/- b/d may go some way to deciding the oil price, funny that… | ![]() highlander7
