Are you seriously telling me that after all the ups and downs of the last 12 years you've only just realised and needed it confirming that investing in a complicated reservoir like Shaikan in a place like Iraq is high risk.

The development of ANY oilfield no matter WHERE it is is high risk, if you can't understand that then you really shouldn't be here.

How could developing a complicated reservoir in a place like Iraq ever be anything other than challenging and high risk Tony.

That's why I'm forever telling you and Bigdog that nothing is cheap easy and straightforward and that programmes budgets and timelines can never be cast in concrete when you get hung up on dates and start whinging whining and breaking out in a sweat when problems arise and things don't go to plan.

Everybody here except you and Bigdog understands that things don't always go according to plan Tony, so why do YOU find it so difficult.

This is the sort of thing I'm talking about:-

You seem to think that the possibility that they won't make 55kbpd by a certain date is funny.

Well it's not funny Tony it's just a normal and to be expected part of oilfield development that happens because it's challenging complicated and high risk.

So instead of just wittering on endlessly about how simple easy and straightforward you think it should be and that they should stick religiously to previously given dates even when those dates have been qualified with the word "expected", and that when those dates are missed it can only be because they're all incompetent, just watch and learn and leave it to the experts who know infinitely more about it all than you do or ever will.

You're just clueless about all of this aren't you Tony.

Covid has reappeared on the oil price with today’s news of a potential further Covid variant which has closed borders again. As I write and ahead of next week’s Opec+ meeting crude is down some $4 per barrel.

These experts of whom you speak. Are they the same ones that have presided over 12 (14) wells in 12.5 years and can only manage low 40's production?

Or are they the experts that have provided shareholders with the share price of 1.8p down from £4.60?

I wish I could give all you delusionals some good news but it would seem that the City jungle drums beat out stuff that wouldn't bring cheer to you poor schmucks.

But its very likely another carrot will be offered up to appease those Insti's who will be extremely angry at not dumping at the overinflated price of £3 when they had the chance years ago. Could it be they believed in the stories of 55k a day being achieved easy cheap and fast and that the Reserves of the very heavy oil would have increased instead of decreased?
