06/12/2020 09:30 | As Todd Kozel said many years ago, when he foretold that there would be a monumental fight for GKP... Why shouldnt PIs be there & benefit from the final game changing take out price at GKP ;-) | steephill cove

06/12/2020 09:24 | We are close... So much so, that I raised my personal skin in the game a few days ago. I virtually doubled down in my ISA And I multiplied my SIPP by 4.35 times. And I will be back for more with the UK Governments tax free element if GKP has not been sold before then. Anything the institutions can do, so can we. Follow the hot money that they have been trying to steal from PIs for the last 3 years ;-) | steephill cove
06/12/2020 09:23 | If the Permian was anything at all... Why give away $50m to sh's last year? When that $$$$ could have been used to source parts to do a better drill? Is there any indication/proof that it was actually oil!? | officerdigby
06/12/2020 09:03 | The high pressure in the well came because they perforated the Permian in the Chia Zairi... So great it threatened to destabilise & blow out the rig...But they managed to control it, just! However, armed with information aplenty & potential riches firmly established, now knowing that the Permian could charge & re pressurise the field from below, they knew Shaikan 1 was a game changer. So much so, that they held a name plating ceremony, with top dignitaries present. Tell me another well in Kurdistan that has had that? ;-) | steephill cove

06/12/2020 06:26 | Mutual understanding. Sounds close to a deal. Or deal done. Iraqi Council of Ministers’ Meeting on 2021 Budget Bill Postponed Basnews English 2020/12/05 - 22:21 World ERBIL — The Council of Ministers of Iraq on Sunday postponed a meeting which was set to approve the 2021 budget bill before sending it to the parliament. A source said the postponement was to allow the ministry of finance to redraft the bill and make some amendments. According to media reports, the amendments will include budget bill’s estimation of oil price which was previously set on $41 per barrel, and it is expected to be fixed at $48 per barrel this time. Other sources familiar with the matter said that the postponement of the voting session at the council of ministers was also the result of the delayed agreement between Erbil and Baghdad on the budget bill and the share of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG). Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on the same day chaired a meeting with KRG’s high-level committee for negotiations with Baghdad to discuss the viability of a deal with the federal government. A statement by the KRG said later that Erbil and Baghdad had progressed to a “mutual understanding” on KRG’s financial entitlement. | beernut
06/12/2020 05:14 | This is the GKP board Benny. | highlander7
06/12/2020 05:14 | IF GKP announced a sale on Monday, Broadfraud would immediately post that it was fake news. He is that obvious. Drilling was stopped because they had a sudden influx of pressure ( a kick) close to / or at , the design pressure rating of the Well Control Equipment. Had they lost control there would have been an uncontrolled release of well pressure at the surface. No reason they cant go back with a higher spec'd drill rig and equipment. Its been a few years now since I have been involved , but they used to have 20k rated kit as opposed to the usual standard 15k. ( lbs. / square ins ) IMO | highlander7
06/12/2020 03:40 | Is it possible to be welcomed here, didn't think so! NTOG multibagger, RMS Face Rich & 7dig paying a dividend | benny shares
05/12/2020 23:33 | By the way, if you did not already know GKP drilled into the Chia Zairi in the Permian on Shaikan 1.... If I recall, the drilling had to stop due to the tremendous pressure, which would have destroyed the well. A figure of 5bn bs was suggested for the Permian. So 100gbp p s could well be on the cards. | cicero666
05/12/2020 22:09 | Steepy - you've gone all gkphero on us. Surely its worth more than that. Even in Worsley! | k4n4k
05/12/2020 21:54 | "GKP is worth way North of £12 per share." Indeed. The field development is in it's infancy and is still in phase zero, a fact that is reflected in the current low CPR numbers. As the development of the field progresses more of the reserves will be proven up and the share price will re-rate accordingly. But even using the current CPR numbers the company is absurdly undervalued. | habshan
05/12/2020 21:17 | And Todd Kozel said back in the day.... Shaikan is undoubtedly worth double figure $ Billions.... Especially when ERCE’s CPR for GKPs Shaikan focuses solely on the Jurassic, with complete & utter scant ignorance & disregard to the prospectivity in the Cretaceous; Triassic; Permian & Upper Carboniferous layers... By the way, if you did not already know GKP drilled into the Chia Zairi in the Permian on Shaikan 1.... GKP is worth way North of £12 per share. Try the £100+ mark ;-) | steephill cove
05/12/2020 17:10 | Bitdodgy5 and Broadfraud out on the tandem. Lol | k4n4k
05/12/2020 16:55 | Correct GKP is worth a fortune :)Oilman66.Am I reading that correctly?Total want to sell 18% of 380 million barrels of gross 2p for up to $500 million. So that's what Total think it's worth.Or 68.4 million barrels for $500 million.Shaikan's current 2p number is 578 million barrels.A straight read across would value Shaikan at 578/68.4 x $500 million = $4.225 billion, minus an adjustment for quality difference. With an 80% Working Interest it works out at around $16 or 12 pounds a share. On the CURRENT 2p number. | oilman66
05/12/2020 16:54 | Ah broadfraud ster hops across To keep bashing Who is paying him ...lolOf. Course he's right the read across is wrong...HEAVY SHAIKAN OIL IS TRADING AT A PREMIUM to TOTALS light Ali...So GKP WORTH FAR MORELOLOLOLOL | oilman66
05/12/2020 16:22 | I believe the Sarsang crude (Triassic) being produced is between 36°API and 41°API. Shaikan crude (Jurassic) is currently ca 17°API...and getting heavier. Straight read-across of values is impossible. | broadford bay
05/12/2020 16:13 | More evidence that hab SHAM isn't able to read, understand or do maths. The company still only have 54% of the field. That's a net 332m. Subtract the number of barrels that have been produced since the CPR and that is likely to be anywhere between 40-50m. Then with the OW contact being much higher than expected and the reserve number could be around the 250m mark or less. Depending on the spin, jam tomorrow, we believe, hype. Happy to help you delusional suckers:-) Oh btw, it was originally put out that there was over 1billion at Sarsang. | bigdog5
05/12/2020 15:47 | Habs. Let's see what they actually get. But yes, it would set a benchmark | shortsqueezer
