17/10/2011 09:44 | I missed the fact that ISS will be paid 50% in cash and 50% in shares so there will be quite a few more shares in issue after the aquisition than I originally tought. "FS Invest II (the sole shareholder of ISS and a company indirectly owned by funds advised by EQT Partners and GS Capital Partners) will receive DKK 130 per ISS share, equivalent to around GBP1,528m in total - 50% paid in cash and 50% in G4S shares, with these shares being subject to a nine month lock-up." | enami
17/10/2011 09:08 | Hi eipgam - from what I can see they have paid what ISS is worth (the enterprise value) and taken on their debt. Today's drop is overdone I think, as the nil paid rights have not been issued yet there is no reason for such a big drop. The intraday low of August is 227.4p, have set alarm to buy at 230p. | enami
17/10/2011 09:01 | Thanks Enami.... not sure I understand whats going on here... first impressions are that they have destroyed a lot of s/h value with these decisions. | eipgam
17/10/2011 08:30 | 13% down at the open. If it were already ex rights then I would expect a fall to 196p, but as the ex rights date is 31 October then could be a good opportunity to buy in here and acquire your rights to 7 for 6 at 122p. Similar situation at Lamprell where they announced a rights issue and the ex rights date was well into the future. LAM shares initially dfropped and then recovered to match previous highs before the ex rights date. I will recalcultate the TERP on 31 October | enami
17/10/2011 07:51 | Well maybe the share price will rise at the open, 3 weeks until the ex rights date - strange I think. 17/10/2011 07:39 | And the increase of 3Bn in debt? | philo124
17/10/2011 07:37 | I make the Theoretical Ex Rights Price 196p. 7 for 6 Current shares in issue 1,410.67m = £3982.32m @ 282.3p New rights shares 1645.78m = £2007.85m @ 122p After acquisition 3,056.45m = £5,990.18m @ 196p | enami
17/10/2011 07:26 | Not back in but today's RNSs interesting ACQUISITION OF ISS A/S FOR GBP5.2 BILLION AND GBP2 BILLION RIGHTS ISSUE The transaction is to be funded through a combination of a 7 for 6 fully underwritten rights issue to raise approximately GBP2 billion, and new debt facilities which will also be used to refinance existing debt. The new debt facilities have been fully underwritten by Deutsche Bank, HSBC Bank and The Royal Bank of Scotland. Have not done the maths of the rights issue but will afect the share price at the open I expect. 7 for 6 at 122p will knock the share price way back. | enami
08/10/2011 17:22 | are you back in, Enami? Lots of news of the past week or so and must be due an assault on the existing ATH and I didn't realise that G4S are a sponsor of the Olympics and ParaOlympics | eipgam
07/10/2011 08:27 | Slow motion break to the upside here. Downgrade to neutral by Evolution earlier this week. Upside target the ATH circa 295. | enami
19/9/2011 15:42 | some big sales (or trades) going through... 2mil in the last few minutes. | eipgam
26/8/2011 19:27 | Pretty good performance since the results. Today - JP Morgan downgrades G4S from overweight to neutral. | enami

21/8/2011 11:57 | tipped in ST today | eipgam
03/8/2011 11:13 | Very quiet here. share price dipped below 200MA and oversold today. 3-5*-3 ABC correction (* B Wave counted on 60 minute chart), Wave 5 target 306. All depends on Wall Street I guess. Not holding but tempted to buy, results due 23 August | enami

12/6/2011 09:18 | "Ministers defend Work programme" Ministers hit back yesterday at criticism that their multi-billion pound back-towork scheme is a Big Society flop in the region. They released a list of ten voluntary groups that have been awarded contracts to help deliver the flagship Work Programme in the North- East, replacing all existing job schemes from yesterday. ...The list includes nine private companies that will be sub-contractors to the two main contractors – G4S, the former Group 4 Securicor, and the Newcastle College Group. Only those two contractors will join a performance-related payment system offering rewards of up to £14,000 per claimant returning to work. article: | philanderer
