Having sold out here in June I missed the fact that there was another acquisitiom on 3 August.

Might nuy back if it hits 238ish.

Revived talk that KKR is lining up a £5.3bn cash offer worth 375p a share. Says KKR is understood to have acquired a stake in G4S when RBS placed a 10% stake at 250p a share in March.

Broker looks at the potential shake out from the austerity cuts. Picks out Serco and G4S as beneficiaries. Adds: 'We believe that there are two main risks; lost revenue from existing projects being cancelled and a focus on better purchasing but that these will be outweighed by the opportunity from a wave of new outsourcing as the Government uses these companies to achieve cost reductions and improve service.'

Am I getting mixed up or wasn't a large tranche of shares put on the market by family interests recently as well... and now this. Could KKR be the buyer? Considering how many shares have been sold, is it fair to think that the share price is amazingly resillient...

RNS today - CREDIT SUISSE GROUP has sold a huge number of shares, from over 8%(111m+) to not reportable.

security group G4S moved ahead after saying it has continued in 2010 where it left off in 2009 with no material change in trading performance or market conditions. Revenues grew 4% at constant exchange rates in the first quarter from the first quarter of 2009. Using actual exchange rates sales grew 2.1%.

Yes it's a huge company, with 595,000 employees they are the second largest private employer in the world.

Looks like it's pushing ahead nicely into XD 28 April which is only 3 trading days away.

Hoping to match the All Time Closing High (283.5) at least.
