13/4/2024 09:46 | dgellissnr It would seem that my use of the word "hype" may not have been too far wide of the mark. free stock charts from uk.advfn.com Fortunately, I did go ahead in time and sold a few ounces - just enough to cover this years ISA allowance. | theapiarist
13/4/2024 09:34 | Those of us who have followed "rich friends" prognostications over the past 3 years have noted, and commented upon, an almost 100% negative correlation between his "predictions" and the subsequent movement of the stock. This relationship is sufficiently consistent for us to dismiss coincidence. We can draw our own conclusions as to the reasons/motives for this phenomenon. | theapiarist
13/4/2024 09:04 | zoo just had a lovely swim the water is quite warm ,very good week on the market his week only one day down and my late wife’s portfolio is well up as well ,I spoke to my rich friend last night and he is completely bewildered by GFM rise like myself he thinks it will fall back next week ,he thinks somebody might be stockpiling but hasn’t got any leads ,lovely rise in zinc it’s getting close to 3000 now, you have a good day and enjoy the sunshine , | alangriffbang
12/4/2024 21:36 | sage I think there will be a lot of people doing this on Monday morning , | alangriffbang
12/4/2024 21:25 | I don’t know why the share price has risen at this time other than commodities and sentiment. I could also speculate that share buybacks are supportive ( just knowing there is a buyer changes sentiment). I wonder if someone is slowly stake building in readiness for a sale/bid. A good opportunity to take some profits. I had got more than I wanted. GLA | sageman
12/4/2024 19:19 | farmer George I’ve been out in the sun and fresh air all the afternoon it’s glorious and tomorrow about six am I will be swimming in the sea ,can’t waste time on here ,although when I was your age l lived on here, did anybody notice how gold fell quickly ,we had better watch the gold shares Monday otherwise we could lose all the gains ,AAZ has done well today I bought several lots with part of the SHA money and am very pleased ,I think GFM has probably gone as high this time round ,we’ve never been able to speak about GFM like this for months on end not a thing has happened, good luck, | alangriffbang
12/4/2024 19:11 | Should Iran have a go at Israel it may well create yet more nervousness in the middle east and gold will react accordingly. | zooman
12/4/2024 18:47 | JPPP noted, thanks. But, lots of talk about the Chinese economy slowing and potential problems. This could take the shine off the metals. | farmergeorge
12/4/2024 17:59 | Indeed, JPPP - Copper and Zinc. I hope and believe that you are right. I have a good part of my portfolio in both. | theapiarist
12/4/2024 17:40 | Farmer G. From what i read, copper is up, zinc is too, iron ore is also recovering. Apparently seems to be pointing to some sort of recovery in China and undeniably a recovery in basic materials mostly across the board. TYG, depends on what they say! Outlook will be important. Our chairman can be very effusive, so if things are good, he probably will be! | jppp
12/4/2024 17:27 | Just popped in and am very surprised, but at the same pleased, to see that recent posts are free of psychotic attacks. Anyhow, I was looking at the charts and note that it's some three years since the price of GFM was at these levels. Would anyone care to speculate if this will run out of steam soon? | farmergeorge

12/4/2024 10:41 | tygwyg The mind boggles at the thought of Xi Jinping pouring over GFM's RNS releases! | theapiarist
12/4/2024 10:30 | Zoo In 2023 the average price received for Gold was 1871 and in the Q1 2024 was 2026. A rise of 8.3%. A very welcome shot in the arm for GFM. However, the corresponding figures for Zinc were 1907 and 2091 respectively. A rise of 9.6% Since Zinc accounted for approximately 2.2 x the value of Gold in Q1 2024, and the price of Zinc has risen by more than that for Gold, it is hard to argue that "The current share price is riding on the back end of the price of Gold". Furthermore, what is the relevance of SHG? And how come that "those invested in SHG will not see the benefit" from the rise in GFM? Your "logic" is hard to follow. | theapiarist
12/4/2024 10:29 | tygwyg without at present the price would drop like a stone , | alangriffbang |
