Podgy, thanks for that. Just to be clear. I came on this board and tried to be pleasant but was attacked for my support for the BOD and my views that commodity prices were the key driver of the falling Sp. There were 2 main antagonists and I responded in kind with my most cutting comments reserved for Rose. Neither antagonist has ever said a decent word about me. Today with the Sp being interesting again and worth reinvesting I reach out and am slapped back but it is my diplomacy skills that are questioned ?!

Sage - with your diplomacy skills you should be working for Trump.

Rose in the absence of inciteful brilliance fairly good is the best that most posters on a bb can hope for. No one has ever said that my opinion was a “judgementR21; before! I thought I was being nice but if you want to continue ripping in to each other then fine by me. Just remember though I offered an olive branch.

He hasn't complimented me. He has passed
judgement on me. By his light my recent posts
have been "fairly good". Room for improvement,
of course, and there is always the danger of
backsliding, but not actually dead bad like
before.

Sage and rose. We are in the season of goodwill to all men so I think a truce is a wonderful idea. Everyone is perfectly entitled to express their personal opinion on Griffin or anything related which could affect the share price so let’s have lots of constructive comments and views.

Hi Alan, S&P and Japan still higher than February lows. Have been waiting for nearly 2 years to fill my boots. Would love to see S&P below 2000 but probably wishful thinking. In the meantime very happy to be buying GFM again (my favourite share) and will buy in tranches. In my absence I have noted that Rose's posts have actually been fairly good, so time for a truce.

I don't think this drop today is nothing to do with griffin I think it's a whole market sell off ,because of brexit, which will roll on and on and on,we've all got to sit sight and wait,

Latest(4th-5th Nov18) LME figures:

Cash contract:$2739/m.tonne

Stock: 111,750 tonnes
Live warrants:84,350 tonnes
Cancelled warrants: 27,400 tonnes

If I've got these figures right, it indicates the zinc market is moving in a more positive direction; so for GFM the share price movement is somewhat baffling.

I understand a long term view has to be taken, but nonetheless would expect a better show during this limbo season!

It's still one of only three stocks I hold that
are in profit. Centamin and Plus500 are the
others. I thought gold and short-selling would
run opposite the market trend, but everything
has turned down.

"will generate large profits which will in itself lead to dividends and thus yield"

You'd think...

What happened last time they were making lots of money was they kept it for acquisitions and expansion. The acquisitions came to nought. Instead they overpaid for the junior partners share (going into debt) on the promise of a licence to mine a new area, which still hasn't come.

Alan- Get married again. I did, in March, at the
age of 71. It's been terrific. I'm not talking
about companionship.

You don't want 40% of your money going to the
government, and charities aren't much better.
