09/11/2018 02:18 | Mario, Very astute and the world we know will immeasurably change in the next 5 years. Highlighting this is very current. | up just a little bit
09/11/2018 00:12 | This is many many years away from threatening zinc but you do need to be aware that it is about but as far as I know its untested and uncommercial. A kilogram of graphene would cover the entire planet. | mariopeter
08/11/2018 23:16 | Millwall and Alan,If we get back to 160 before a bidding war then it will be a better situation | up just a little bit
08/11/2018 18:43 | I still very much wonder if the gradual stakebuilding by the major shareholder is intended to help support the price, is in belief the company is undervalued OR moving towards he and the BoD intending to take the company private before the next major move upwards due to zinc price and licence - which IMHO could possibly be within the next 12-18 months. If Trumps sanctions persist the chinese will want to increase home production of zinc I guess. If we achieved a record high of £1.60 earlier this year a positive shift in the key factors must surely suggest the potential for a new high?? A bidding war would really make things interesting. | millwallfan
08/11/2018 11:09 | Looks like LME is going out of the zinc business. | rose_by_another_name
07/11/2018 18:34 | Makingbuts ,it said this morning that the stockmarket opened strongly lead by a very strong mining sector,I don't think they realised griffin was a miner until late this afternoon! ( smile) | alangrifbang
07/11/2018 18:27 | Ewads, Glad you can see the condescending posts of sage and the supercilious posturing that he displays. | up just a little bit
07/11/2018 17:57 | Very strange little tick at the end, news leaking? | makinbuks
07/11/2018 16:10 | The Griffin awakens | phillis
07/11/2018 16:00 | See the bullying warthogs out in force today, Nice to see this little jump towards the close. | ewads
07/11/2018 12:49 | Miaow! but funny | phillis
07/11/2018 10:18 | There is nothing wrong with putting your trust in fund managers or index trackers, but it doesn't give one much grounds to boast of ones expertise. It does seem odd to me that someone would study investment strategy and even take exams on the subject only to invest like a widowed housewife. | rose_by_another_name
07/11/2018 09:55 | He is all huff and puff:transparent. | roddiemac2
07/11/2018 09:34 | Rose, But he has exams in the fine art of labelling people and making assumptions. He's a very clever chap! | up just a little bit
07/11/2018 07:56 | Sage apparently thinks the stocks on an index just find themselves there, with no human intervention. They even change from time to time. How does that happen? | rose_by_another_name
06/11/2018 21:47 | Rose and Up, an Index tracker is passive and doesn’t have a fund manager. It is a very cheap way to gain broad market exposure whether you want equities or commodities. Luckily neither of you have passed any financial exams so you don’t have to let facts get in the way of your comments. Good to see zinc warehouse stock levels falling but with no RNS and zinc range bound GFM is currently moving sideways. Will we see $103.5 on Zinc tested? Will we see 86/87 again? Would like to see the negatives cleared so that we can push higher again and focus on the specific GFM positives. | sageman
06/11/2018 15:12 | LME Zinc stock down to 135825 | up just a little bit
06/11/2018 15:10 | Mr Griffiths dipping in again. Most welcome. | up just a little bit
06/11/2018 06:00 | Morning zinc down over 100 this morning,it's not looking good,I suspect the doom merchants will be back | alangrifbang
05/11/2018 15:25 | Jitters is what it is. The steel will still have to be made somewhere, if not China, and they will still have to galvanize it. | rose_by_another_name
05/11/2018 13:24 | US steel production at the centre of the mid term election rhetoric. That gives people the jitters over Chinese steel production and exports to the US and consequently the price of zinc is down. I'm dubious that the LME stock is an accurate reflection of whats out there. | makinbuks
05/11/2018 13:06 | Zinc supply tightening, demand running down stockpiles, and yet the price drops. | rose_by_another_name
02/11/2018 12:53 | Me thinks funds could have been spent more wisely on some diplomacy courses - when you try to dig yourself out of a hole, the hole just gets bigger. | rmjones |
