Again with the name calling.

I understand that you think the zinc price movements
are only significant when you think they are, but I
do not share your thinking. The price moves everyday,
not on some schedule to suit your theories. Yesterday
and today zinc has been up, but Griffin has continued
to fall precipitously. Of course the zinc price is a
big factor for a zinc miner, but clearly there are other
factors at work as well, factors which the board needs to
address. Factors which are in their power to address,
unlike the zinc price, which not even the powerless
President of the USA is able to influence.

Rose aka the Clueless wombat , I repeat - the daily zinc movement is currently not relevant. It is the trend. We need to bounce off $103.5 to over $1.20 before the trend is broken. In the meantime the share price tracks the trend. This is basic stuff! Sentiment and other fundamentals also are at work.

Well we got down to the 86p support level - which is probably close to NBV also. Initially quite a good bounce back off.

Zinc continues up, Griffin continues down.
Makes you wonder what else might be involved
in the perception of the company.

If Griffin can't mine profitably, almost
no one else will be able to either.

Cinoib, You always have the option of selling and taking the loss. I think the market is nervous should zinc fall further to levels where it isn't profitable to mine.

Management buy and the share price still falls, zinc up today and share price still falls. this is hurting.

Acuere , I posted an almost identical post a few months back using ice creams as an analogy. The impact is exacerbated here by the fact that zinc was rising and therefore some forward P/E ratio's would factor in higher zinc prices (we saw $4500 in 2006/7). Based on previous accounts I believe GFM B/E (depending on the price of gold) to now be circa $1700-$1800 for zinc (just my opinion/guess). With the trend for zinc falling it is difficult to now forecast earnings with any reliability. However, we have no debt, are currently profitable, the management is in it for the long term and the mine itself is excellent. Long term all should be well but short term the share price remains vulnerable (per the charts).

slop - One more time I will say that those figure are based on out of date forecasts. GFM have no hope of getting anywhere near 24c in 2018. There has been no update based on the H1 result or indeed the fall in POZ - possibly cos they fired the broker that had the temerity to reduce to "hold" pre H1 numbers.

Fall in POZ will always have a disproportionate effect on profits and therefore the share price

Eg Say Cost of producing tonne of zinc $2000

If zinc sale price was $3000 and falls to $2100.

Zinc price is down 30%
But profits are down 90%.
Hence a fall in POZ has a far worse effect on the share price

Price of zinc down, Griffin down. Price of zinc
up, Griffin down. Could it be that other factors
are having some bearing?

SP 6/8/18 142p , 19/9/18 94.5p - Fall 33%

POZ 6/8/18 $2,585 , 19/9/18 $2,400 - Fall 7%

6/8/18 = day before release of half year accounts.

Today so far - share price fall now 37%, zinc fall 7%

MM trying to find a level where people will buy and looking at the evidence of the last few days people are just bailing out. What is currently happening has little to do with the price of zinc.

SKOP - I haven't looked at your detailed EPS stuff but I think a forward PER of 10 is very rich for a chinese miner on AIM with governance issues - I'd go for 6-7.

Well I have just bought 25k worth and I'm quite happy with that. The director buys recently have upped my confidence here and I feel the fall is way overdone with POZ priced in.
