19/9/2018 21:03 | Rose and up. If I may say I think, to use a cricketing phrase, you should cut your run ups a bit. I am no great fan of sage, although he does offer some sensible comments, and have no great regards for Neville’s sycophantic posts, but I feel both of you could be more polite in your responses. As for the lack of dividend which one of you keeps mentioning there was no chance of that when the interims showed only 1M of free cash flow. Other points I would make regarding the future of the company. It is virtually uninvestable for an institution. The lack of cumminication is awful, the greed of the board unacceptable, the almost deceitful way the final and this year’s interims were presented again unacceptable all resulting in that no sensible investor would touch this with a barge pole. The BOD can’t be trusted. If zinc recovers strongly then of course so might the share price but with many options open to investors why pick this one? This is not a deramp to allow me to buy at a lower level, I am out after a very long period, and until the last year,a most unrewarding experience. I will not re-enter. To all posters please be respectful to others or you will drive away those who have worthwhile insight to offer. | gailes5
19/9/2018 20:27 | Maybe it's best to agree with you, you've not a clue about my point of view, whatever I mention gets slagged off,at least I'm giving sage some peace from you, | alangrifbang
19/9/2018 18:03 | Thanks Rose. I will continue to hold and look at both of the sides of the debate as I always have done. I will as a share holder of 14 years exorcise my rights to question strategy and decision making. After all what indeed is the point of a publically listed company. Regards | up just a little bit
19/9/2018 17:59 | All the rancor on this forum arrived with the iii refugees. Upjust has been posting here a long time, and while veteran posters here often disagreed, the name calling and slagging off is new. I don't mind it myself. | rose_by_another_name
19/9/2018 17:57 | So Dear Alan, Can you balance your total love of GFM with what could have been and what is possible with a dividend considered half decent PR STRATEGY AND POICLY and bearing in mind companies that like to keep suiters at arms length like to have a certain amount of debt on their books. | up just a little bit
19/9/2018 17:49 | Alan, Add up my positive comments and post your results. I have challenged the company like many many other share holders and quite rightly referred poor reporting, poor PR, and lack of RNS's re share buy backs. You must be some kind of company stooge or lackey to turn a blind eye to all of that and continue to pat yourself on the back for a job seriously messed up. | up just a little bit
19/9/2018 17:36 | ALAN.You have missed the numerous posts singing the praises of the BOD with regard to setting GFM up for the future. If you are of the ilk that is totally blinkered and are willing not to ever challenge a company over questionable decision making then you are a fool. Read my years of posts with information of decreasing zinz warehouse stocks. Read my posts re mine openings and future investments in Canada and Australia and then slag me off. At least I can debate both sides of the story unlike you and some others. | up just a little bit
19/9/2018 17:29 | No takers? I was referring to the fact that both invent demeaning nicknames for anyone with whom they disagree. | rose_by_another_name
19/9/2018 16:15 | Up just a little bit ,were you born a nasty person or did you have training,I bought a very cheap price years ago ,it's only ever been on paper I've never had the cash in my hand so I have gained or lost nothing,I have at last looked back on your posts and three words spring to mind NASTY AND NEGATIVE,try being nice ,it will shock us all, | alangrifbang
19/9/2018 16:07 | Has anyone else noticed that Sage and Trump have something in common? I don't mean their mutual powerlessness to affect the economy. | rose_by_another_name
19/9/2018 16:01 | I'm not here to help you, Sage. Some things are not possible, others unrewarding. I'll let you decide which applies (maybe it's both!). Zinc price and Griffin share price currently moving sharply in opposite directions. | rose_by_another_name
19/9/2018 15:52 | Rose, you continue to demonstrate that you are our resident clueless wombat. The share price does not react to zinc on a daily basis. It is about trends and resultant p/ e ratios. At the moment the trend is down. Essentially therefore there is no change but whilst it is currently 95% about commodity prices other factors eg sentiment, buying etc have some part to play. You mention above your ‘content’ | sageman
19/9/2018 15:43 | Zinc price crashing for months | opodio
19/9/2018 15:42 | Next leg down starting | opodio
19/9/2018 15:40 | All those good old boys from the 3.5p club have watched their investment chopped up by half. Still saves the paying all that CJT...... | up just a little bit
19/9/2018 15:20 | We actually mine a significant amount of gold and silver | up just a little bit
19/9/2018 15:07 | Another question might be why, with zinc up sharply and LME stocks continuing to plummet (lowest since April), Griffin is flat today? | rose_by_another_name
19/9/2018 14:24 | If only we actually did have a licence! | up just a little bit
19/9/2018 14:09 | Jr76 I have asked Roger this question in the past. He told me that as the BOD do not know what price zinc will be in the future there would be no guarantee of selling at a higher price. They concentrate on mining and just as well they do because when I spoke to Roger some months ago when zinc first started to fall his view was that the fall in zinc prices was a temporary blip..!!!!! Opodio I have high respect for charts and they have influenced my actions here. I hope that you are wrong and that we see no more than a 10-15% fall from here. We have the license and buybacks to support the share price but we really do need zinc to stabilise as gold seems to have done. | sageman
19/9/2018 13:56 | good point | dgellissnr
19/9/2018 13:26 | Can anyone wiser than me (not difficult!!) tell me if the price is dropping on zinc why gfm dont stock pile zinc again as there are no debts and sell it when its a more favourable price? | jr76
19/9/2018 13:05 | Will crater soon towards 60p i feel based on chart | opodio
19/9/2018 13:02 | There is no struggle. I am not trying, not even a little bit, to comment without goading him. As for substance, I refer you to my many previous posts, all of which have drawn invective from a certain other poster. I expect people to disagree with me, but regard personal attacks as an opportunity for entertainment. | rose_by_another_name
19/9/2018 12:39 | Rose I attempted to focus on Gfm share related chat today. Yet despite no mention of Sage, or even him posting you struggle to comment without trying him to goad him. Along with other posters this continued bickering has made this a terribly tiresome BB. | acuere |
