The trouble is at the moment it is hard to see how high street retailers can continue to operate under the restrictions. I go past several Greggs stores in my local city, and at the very most I think I've seen a couple of people in them. The media has whipped up such a wave of hysteria that nobody wants to venture out. Buses have virtually become a chauffeur service, and it's hard to fathom how they are supposed to make any money ferrying around one or two passengers at a time. My Dad lived through a World War - he thinks the entire situation is a farce. On the whole, I'm inclined to agree with him.

Had these on my watchlist for ages but always felt is was too pricey, it now looks like a decent play for a recovery in a couple of years time.Would like to see them extending click & collect / delivery to more outlets, at the moment it's only about 40% of total retail outlets (should be a lot higher proportion of those currently trading). Digital offering and delivery is the way to go IMO.When is the next update likely?.

Have been on board for a long time till the ship rolled over in an unexpected storm; now still hanging on to the side in the hope that it can be reinstated and get back on course again. I'm sure the skipper is doing his best to make this happen but we don't know what the elements will do next.

GRG Greggs, im back in. Selling looks well over done. P/E was far too high at the top but now offers some upside value.Chart looks at the bottom.

That is outrageous! I thought they were going to say it was bad for the pigeons but to fine someone £120 for littering just for feeding a few crumbs to pigeons is just ridiculous. Yet they are happy to do nothing if people don't wear masks when they should and when my handbag, containing inter alia quite a bit of cash (I had just been to the cashpoint) and all my cards, they did absolutely nothing even though the thief was identified and it was known where he lived.

bergster56, highly priced you mean share price or food cost? The latter doesn't make sense of course.

I wanted to buy this a few months back but I always thought it was way over priced with current climate. Below a tenner I'll be interested

This was under a tenner less than a year ago, and with current business, degraded accounts and an uncertain outlook, that's where I see it heading back to.
