07/9/2019 14:01 | Ok I'm prepared to buy £1000 worth of Greggs at this price, bringing my holding closer to 250 shares. I'm going for the sterling recovery trade, even if no deal b-rexit with boris. I can't see the pound staying below 1.3 for long. | this_time_its_different

03/9/2019 13:22 | Banks and housebuilders traditionally bear the brunt of the Brexit drama and so it was again on Tuesday, with blue-chip lenders and brickies losing ground before tonight’s crunch vote in Westminster. The possibility of a snap general election in October spooked shareholders in UK-focused domestic stocks. | philanderer

02/9/2019 21:32 | Jolly good (re moniker). My postal address is Beaconsfield though bizarrely my MP is Cheryl Gillan (with whom I have a continuous correspondence). What a mess it all is. Goodness knows how it will all end. | bouleversee
02/9/2019 21:06 | bouleversee , she's fine with it , she has a good sense of humour and knows I'm exactly the opposite ;-) Looks like my MP Dominic Grieve will be deselected by the Conservative Party at a general election as he's sure to vote for anti no-deal tomorrow. | philanderer
02/9/2019 20:36 | Philanderer - If I were in your shoes with a wife like that, I think I might dream up another moniker. | bouleversee

02/9/2019 19:37 | General election is indeed on, I predict a boris-farage pact and a boris-farage win with a no deal brexit on the 31st. Sterling at 1.1, UK domestics all worth buying then. | this_time_its_different
02/9/2019 19:35 | Indeed, £160,000 in equity in Greggs is something the directors would have. I want to build a bigger position in Greggs, I actually neglected it for US tech stocks (which have served me well). But with such a weak sterling, I thought I might buy some Greggs. | this_time_its_different
02/9/2019 19:31 | Hi ttid, no she's too young for that and has a business to run. I married a rich woman ;-) Looking like a general election on october 14th then ? 'Pub at war with Greggs over sausage roll in ‘offensive&rsq Read more: | philanderer

02/9/2019 18:55 | I have just under 700 but my wife has over 8,000. She's been adding on every results day twice a year for over fifteen years. Never sold one. | philanderer

29/8/2019 20:09 | I think greggs will know how many stores they can roll out without problems and will concentrste on rolling out food which customers find palatable. | bouleversee

29/8/2019 00:04 | Market report: An upgrade from brokers at UBS also boosted baker Greggs. Analysts at the Swiss investment bank put a 'buy' rating on its stock, up from a previous rating of 'neutral', and bumped up the target price of its stock from 1880p to 2300p. They also said the chain, which has around 2,000 stores, could roll out another 500 or, at a stretch, 1,000 without serious problems. The vote of confidence in its stores came a few days after it announced it is working on vegan versions of all its best-selling foods after the marketing coup that its vegan sausage roll pulled off in January. Greggs rallied 4.5 per cent, or 88p, to 2054p. | philanderer |
