I'd just like to say thanks to everyone on the Ernest Giles posts!

It's not as simple as we'd maybe all like, since there have been several tenement changes over the years, which only some people will maybe remember in full, and they're not exactly historically listed anywhere, as far as I know!

That said, with my very limited geological knowledge, I can't do anything more than agree with the current (backed up with the past) views about the potential of Ernest Giles, from the whole Greatland Gold company officers now, including GH!

Maybe this is why.
I did mention this guy, he is a new consultant.

Cheers Paddy, it has been a long time since I looked .
I guess we`ll have a better idea once the new exploration licence is granted.
Why would they relinquish that one....only a few square kilometers ?

If you look at last twelve month chart it started around March April time would be nice to see it happen again especially as the heat is easing down there. Zoo

ProtOn. One thing I do know is there are a load of robbing scumbags out there. Twice now they have attempted to break into my lock up!

Totally mashed up the door this time. Received some serious heavy duty kit earlier and working away. Still waiting for more to come.

One thing I know for sure is that my investment in Greatland Gold is Solid.

Four weeks tomorrow night and Newcrest will publish their quarterly update. As Paddy has previously questioned, will we see an update on the resource figures for Havieron? All the drilling was completed some time ago and hopefully we may see some of the resource upgraded to indicated.

Cheers DW,

As I mentioned earlier on, that Carnegie target is well defined,
only a few square kilometers.

Just been looking at previous Rns on Ernest Giles and the new tenements are different from the ones given up, as you would expect........Rns dated 29th 0ctober 2019A comprehensive review of all data for the Ernest Giles project was carried out later in the year. The Board decided that Greatland should focus on high priority targets within the project and, consequently, both the Carnegie (E38/2882) and Empress North (E38/3228) licences were relinquished, thereby enabling work to be concentrated on higher priority targets within the retained project licences.Today's RnsThe two Exploration Licence applications of Mount Smith (E38/3612) and Welstead Hill (E38/3613) cover a total area of 1,070km(2) and join existing tenure at the Ernest Giles project located approximately 250km north-east of Laverton in the goldfields of Western Australia. These new applications increase the footprint of the project from 880km(2) to 1,950km(2) . The new licence applications cover a prospective Archean greenstone rock sequence and were acquired following an internal review of historical and recent regional exploration data which concluded the broader project area is prospective for gold, nickel and base metals mineralisation.

Chicken,

PIs speculate, 99% of it never comes to fruition.
What else we`d do between any meaningful news ?

From reading here and on the other site about GGP being bought out is looking more and more like a load of nonsense. GGP are explorers. And explores with a bit in their tongue buying up the next Haviron's.

I'm more than happy for NCM to purchase the remaining 5% of Havieron at fair market value and we hold on to the other 25% for the next 15 - 20 years with dividends.

Anything else is a bonus.

Imperial,

The project`s size is my concern, that`s why I think there is a plan behind this new application. We would need a partner who could possibly pin point some targets using latest exploration tools, like Newmont did.
Unfortunately Newmont`s exploration work was just around Meadows, about 40 square kilometers, they really didn`t explore much.

Also, there was one nickel/copper target called Carnegie.
In my view that one should be revisited.
Almost identical bullseye features to Nova nickel/copper deposit.

In relation to the above discussion, here's an interesting old interview with GH from back in September 2018 regarding Ernest Giles and new licence applications AT THAT TIME (This was posted by someone in a tweet today in reply to SD's tweet):

Just to clarify and avoid any possible confusion, this is not from today, it's from September 2018....

I bought GGP very many years ago on the prospects of Ernest Giles.Havieron to the rescue! To resuscitate EG makes me believe they think there is something worthy of further exploration. If so the worm has turned.Any further ideas of what this prospect holds, answers on a postcard please.

Thanks chickn, it went as well as could be expected in the circumstances. We will see what GH had in mind soon I would suspect, 4 weeks until the next Havieron results, Juri and Scallywag starting up imminently, newsflow should be thick and fast.
