One thing is undeniable, Trump's reign saw the Dow Jones & other indices reach all time highs! I'm not surprised to see a retrace with Biden and it's just a question of how far the markets will fall before they consolidate IMO.

mm. dow jones down 350! yes red all over the planet! biden hasn't exactly lit any fires since he turned up. people keep going on about the bond mkt is affecting everything. i hope, this isn't the start of the predicted downward slide in the mkts!
don't mind red days or a week or two, but not looking forward to stagnation periods!

Kitco Mining 'CEO of the Year 2020': Who is in the running? Gervaise Heddle?

2020 was an extraordinary year for the mining sector. Despite the challenges caused by the global COVID-19 pandemic, companies created unprecedented value for investors and supported their communities during difficult times.

Kitco’s ‘CEO of the Year’ awards honor excellence in two categories - Exploration and Development and Mining. With over 900 mining companies listed on the TSX Venture Exchange alone, it is an accomplishment to stand out.

There were eight nominees in the Exploration and Development category:

Adriatic Metals' Paul Cronin - Listed in the United Kingdom, Adriatic Metals (ASX:ADT) is advancing its Vareš Project in Bosnia & Herzegovina. The company recently announced a key permit for the high-grade silver project.

Chalice Mining's Alex Dorsch - Chalice Mining (ASX:CHN) is advancing its Julimar discovery, just outside Perth, Australia. The company had an astounding run, starting near 20 cents at the beginning of 2020 and finishing at over $4 by the end of the year.

Great Bear's Chris Taylor - Great Bear Resources (TSX-V:GBR) is advancing its flagship Dixie project in Red Lake, Ontario. The company says the project has the potential to be a tier-one discovery.

Greatland Gold's Gervaise Heddle - Greatland has four projects in Western Australia and two in Tasmania. In November, the company announced a farm-in agreement with Newcrest to develop Greatland's Havieron gold-copper deposit.

Integra Resources' George Salamis - In 2020, the company completed 16,000 meters of exploration and listed on the NYSE. Integra (TSX-V:ITR) is focused on the past-producing DeLamar Gold-Silver Project in Idaho, USA.

Orezone's Patrick G. Downey - In July, Orezone (TSX-V:ORE) received approval for an expanded mining permit for Bomboré in Burkina Faso.

Rupert Resources' James Withall - Rupert Resources (TSX-V:RUP) is targeting a multi-million ounce gold discovery in close proximity to a 100% owned permitted mill in Northern Finland. Silver Crest Metals' N. Eric Fier - In November, SilverCrest (TSX:SIL) announced a new high-grade discovery at Las Chispas located in Sonora, Mexico.

"Kitco's 'CEO of the Year' celebrates the accomplishments of leaders, executives, and their management teams behind the year's most outstanding mining initiatives and achievements. This annual awards program recognizes individuals and teams who set industry benchmarks for distinction," said Kitco's Media Director John Dourekas.
