I must admit that it is not my usual style, when directors have recently sold but it is in case Newmont suddenly decide to buy.
I have a small amount in a few gold stocks.
We'll see.

Spot gold at nine-year high
Mining Journal - 9th July 2020

The spot gold price has followed futures and burst through the US$1,800 an ounce mark to its highest point since September 2011.

It was worth about $1,809/oz at the time of writing, having earlier neared $1,820/oz.

Here's the passage from the farm-in RNS"Farm-in agreement includes Joint Venture and Tolling Principles which reflect the intention of both parties that, subject to a successful exploration program and positive Feasibility Study outcome, ore from the proposed Havieron Joint Venture will be toll processed at Newcrest's Telfer Gold Mine"

Full JV commence only after farm-in is complete, we are not there yet.

I think the "potential JV" refers to the toll treatment agreement.I'm sure the farm-in agreement says they will progress onto a JV once the farm-in is complete.Great spot by Mirabeau.Hotting up even more in the Paterson

Antipa Minerals enters $30M farm-in with IGO

Antipa Minerals (AZY) has entered a $30 million farm-in agreement with IGO (IGO) for 1563 square kilometres of tenements in the Paterson Province of Western Australia.

Additionally, Antipa has entered two subscription agreements.

These include a subscription agreement, in which IGO will acquire a 4.9 per cent shareholding in Antipa through a placement of new shares at 2.75 cents each to raise $3.27 million.

The second subscription agreement is with Newcrest Mining and will see Newcrest maintain its 9.9 per cent shareholding through a placement of new shares at 2.75 cents each to raise $358,909.

Overview

The Havieron Project is the primary target of the Newcrest-operated farm-in and potential joint venture with Greatland Gold. The Project is located in the Paterson Province, Western Australia, approximately 45km east of Newcrest’s 100%-owned Telfer mine.

You will manage a small owner’s team, various stakeholders and contractors, to safely and efficiently deliver the exploration decline to meet the requirements of the Havieron business plan.

Reporting directly to the Head of Projects, you will be responsible for:

Managing the tender process including development of tender documentation, evaluation
Awarding the contracts
Developing underground mining team
Managing the construction and execution of the greenfields Boxcut and Exploration Decline
Managing the surface infrastructure and mine development camp
Delivering the project on time, within budget, and as per technical specification

This is a fixed term position that will work on a FIFO (8/6) roster. Point of Hire is Perth.

I remember the old days of spikes up and spikes down, sometimes on low volume
Now it's the sensible work of a mid-cap stock with nice steady rises
