The 4.8p fund raise hurt me as well, it was deeply discounted and buyers had to be quick, with some platforms not participating in it at all but
If a company is mining gold and copper for monetary receipts, they are a producer in my eyes.
The stockpile (when bought and paid for) will come and go and be replaced with another one, as there is life in the old dog yet.
Newcrest have missed gold at Telfer, (West Dome Deeps springs to mind) and Greatland will have enough to tide them over until they can get the Havieron ore, 8.4 million ounces and counting as open in most directions.
I think Telfer will still be producing their own ore at least 5 years from now, plus possibly a bit of tolling from its surrounding areas.
There will be drilling exploration soon in vicinity of Telfer, they might find something big you never know, it is elephant company in an top jurisdiction with a very experienced BOD.

That is very generous celeriac. I would have thought the market would discount the 1x due to all the risks and apply a 0.5x.

Sucking a few oz out of Newmont’s unwanted sloppy seconds doesn’t make GGP a “producer̶1;. The market will accord a multiple of <1x to anything generated from the left-behind stockpile, because it isn’t recurring revenue.

Meanwhile the dilution & discount SD forced upon loyal long-termers continues to cause discomfort in price-action - right where it hurts the most. Until all the spivs attracted by the deep discount to 4.8p are flushed through the system, expect the price to go nowhere (unless SD can pull a rabbit from his bush hat). At the present replacement rate the flushing will take many months. Don’t say you weren’t warned.

My first couple of purchases were not that serious but once Greatland had the backing of Wyloo against Newcrest I kind of knew our 30% was wanted and would be mined or bought out.
After Newmont took over Newcrest and then were divesting Telfer and their 70% of Havieron (and we had last right of refusal on Havieron), I knew we could then have a JV partner of our choice on Havieron (there are past test cases where this has happened).
Newmont probably bundled Telfer with 70% of Havieron for sale because on its own Telfer would be very difficult to sell on.
LROR was on Havieron only so I thought a deal was being done with Greatland, or, if not another miner was going to buy the lot.
In the short time of their tenure Newmont have been an exceptionally good partner.
Luckily we are about to get it all in December and become a producer.

Short but sweet. Moving swiftly forwards, a little over 2 weeks and we will be in control. I would expect December to be a full on news flow month and then a short break in January for summer.

"Yes, there are posters on this board trying to get the share price down.
I am not bothered as benefiting from their work as in buying more shares."
An excellent judge !

I posted previously about the importance of wording in a RNS. The end result was very painful wasn't it . The rampers are getting excited this morning, clearly they haven't learnt how to read and understand the written word yet or desperation does not allow them to think clearly. They get a chubby on , the market shrugs LOL.
Masterrsi is back and very angry. Will he be getting out his crayons and posting more graphs and talking of candlesticks, inverted shoulders and double bottoms again? What a helmet.

Greatland Managing Director, Shaun Day, commented: "We are delighted to be nearing completion of Greatland's transformational acquisition of Telfer and Havieron. The significant and collaborative efforts of the Greatland, Newmont and Telfer teams have enabled the continued progress towards the satisfaction of the transaction conditions and our integration work. We congratulate Newmont on the successful restart of processing operations and are excited to take over in a matter of weeks and emerge as a significant Australian gold and copper producer, with completion targeted by early December 2024."
