wskill,
if that is the case, then there is a good chance that profits are sustainable, especially with EOR business contracts picking up.

There will be a revenue increase on the bio fuel side alone I will hazard a guess at revenue of around 30 million for the half year and there will be profit with the exchange rate alone, as costs in Ringgit have been reduced by a good percentage versus the USD.

Pennyshare GRPH has been unloved since the day it hit the market with a crazy valuation.

Has been a complete shambles up till now. However i have been buying at these levels on the hope the business has a bright future.

But I suppose bsg has a point.

AGM has no revenue and its market capital is multiples of GRPH.

So I guess, as I posted a couple of weeks ago, GRPH should stop all this producing nonsense and buy, or better still rent, a shed in County Durham and post a few samples out and periodically post optimistic 'crystal ball' RNS.

The market will then easily understand its asset light, risk free, business model and love it up.

bsg, without revenue there cannot be profit.

It is worthwhile posting GRPH's Jv partner, Scomi, view on the GRPH's products.

The company is in the midst of rolling out the technology called the Plat-Drill, Confi Graph Lube and Hype Graph Lube which are lubricants that are improved with graphene nanotechnology to enhance the inner workings of a driller.

“We are positioning this product to grow our business namely in the drilling fluids business segment. We think this segment will drive future growth in the company,” Scomi Energy’s head of fluids and chemicals system Vickneswaran Veloo said.

“This lubricant, based on graphene nanotechnology, helps to prolong the lifespan of the diamond drillbit. Drillbits are expensive. So this product improves on the efficiency of the drilling process and reduces maintenance cost for our customers,” Vickneswaran added.

Scomi Energy has patented this technology with its partners and is in the process of rolling it out to its customers in financial year 2016.

Although I predicted the 2014 revenue within a £million or so, I am reluctant to post a call for H1/2015.

The reason being that H1/2015 saw significant currency moves and some contraction in the oil services industry.

However I hope to see its half year revenue significantly higher than its current market capital.

add:

But in a market which has knocked down GLEN (currently) 74.41% year to date, does revenue count for anything?

We can expect a decent increase this year in revenue with the higher percentage bio fuel required.
If the UK adopted this idea it would stop the fiddling of emissions by car manufactures ,too simple I suppose for the government all they would have to do is test fuel at petrol stations.

It is also because it is so green and pure it double counts for compliance with EU targets.

H1/2014 Revenue £20.4m F/Y £48.3m

Leeds this an excellent slant on VW present problem if they had adopted the bio diesel route for lowering emissions they would not have their troubles today. I suppose the main reason European oil companies are buying GRPHs bio fuel is because of price it must be favourable in comparison to European products.
So if we have an increase in demand now it can only help GRPH achieve a better contract price all good news then about VWs fiddling emissions for our company.

As appears from Plat Clear product spec above, complies with EN 14214 ... which makes it suitable for ... VW's Scania Group 100% biodiesel engines.

Scania is now adding yet another environmentally oriented alternative to its industry-leading palette with Euro 6 certified truck engines. The Scania 16-litre, 580 hp V8 engine can now be ordered in a configuration with up to 100 percent biodiesel operation (EN 14214) in the R-series. Scania thus has five different engines for biodiesel operation in its range, with a power span of 320-580 hp.

In its basic configuration the new addition offers 2,950 Nm right from 1,000 r/min. The robust construction of Scania’s V8 engine has given it a special position based on how it couples unbeatable performance with durability and resale value.

“No other manufacturer has managed to develop five biodiesel engines configured for Euro 6,” says Joel Granath, vice president for product management at Scania Trucks. “We are unique in having a biodiesel engine to fit any customer, regardless of the application they plan to run with their vehicle. The fact that we can now offer a V8 to customers with demanding assignments and access to biodiesel is gratifying, and proof of how Scania’s modular design philosophy provides customers with added value, even for environmental considerations.”

Of course what VW did was cheat on its diesel engine emissions so that there was no need to use alternatives to petroleum diesel.

I guess the VW scandal leaves the EU's emissions targets from diesel engines in tatters, unless of course car manufacturers / fuel suppliers and EU Governments actually walk the walk on 'fame' biodiesel.

The renewable diesel evaluation program is part of Volkswagen’s global strategy to become one of the world’s most environmentally friendly automakers by 2018.

The Group currently has an existing contract with the Tier-1 O&G Company for the supply of PlatClear to February 2015 for the European market. Pursuant to the renewal agreement, the contract will now be extended to December 2015. The renewed contract represents approximately 40% of the annual production output of the Senawang Facility. At current CPO prices, the estimated annual revenue from the contract will be in the region of US$45million.

Description
PLAT CLEAR
Palm Oil Mill Effluent Methyl Ester, Used Cooking Oil Methyl Ester, Palm Methyl Ester, Biodiesel.

................

INTRODUCTION, HISTORY AND SUSTAINABILITY

1. What is palm biodiesel?
Palm biodiesel is an alternative fuel derived from palm oil and can be used in compression ignition engines, i.e. diesel engines without any modifications. It refers to methyl esters derived from palm oil through a process known as ‘transesterification’.

2. What is the difference between biofuels and biodiesel?
Biofuels are alternative fuels derived from renewable natural resources, e.g. vegetable oils and their derivatives, bioethanol, biomass, etc. Biodiesel refers to alkyl esters of long chain fatty acids derived from vegetable oils and their derivatives, animal fats, waste oils, etc. Therefore, biodiesel is one type of biofuel.

....

ADVANTAGES AND BENEFITS

3. What are the environmental benefits of using palm biodiesel?
There are many environmental benefits of using palm biodiesel as compared to petroleum-based diesel. Various studies indicate that sulphur dioxide, hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide emissions, and particulate matters are reduced with the use of biodiesel. Biodiesel has a higher cetane number that improves engine performance and results in cleaner emissions compared to petroleum diesel.

4. What is the GHG emission savings that can be obtained with the use of palm biodiesel compared to petroleum diesel?
Based on the current practices in the Malaysian palm oil industry, data has shown that palm biodiesel typically contributes to GHG emission savings of >70% as compared to petroleum diesel if the biogas in the palm oil mill effluents is captured. If the biogas is emitted to the atmosphere, the GHG emission savings is >50%.

Don't know about lack of liquidity every AIM share has been subjected to the same by the short gangs who now control this market, and mostly naked shorting GRPH is not the only share affected by them .
