26/9/2015 03:12 | I agree with JH too illiquid for that only an insider will have the knowledge to take that risk and that is even more risk On the positive site last few news have been good if next set of number is good the illiquidity will make this a quick recovery story Well that is the hope | jovi1
25/9/2015 20:50 | wskill , doubtful a shorter would bother here with such an illiquid stock. GRPH could quite easily come out with news that could see the share price double on open. Far to risky to bother with, | john henry
25/9/2015 18:43 | Not a seller a shorter I would say,of course more or less the same I suppose other than they never owned any shares to start with and there will never be any RNS for any reduction in holdings because there were none to start with. | wskill
25/9/2015 17:13 | Not here Leedskier to illiquid. As the current seller is finding almost impossible to sell in any decent size. Unless volume buyers are interested then you pretty much stuck with your holding until brighter times return. | john henry
25/9/2015 16:35 | Are you not one of the traders jh? | leedskier
25/9/2015 16:11 | 2350220 Simple really, Seller and no buyers | john henry
25/9/2015 15:17 | profit what profit this company only made profit in 1 quarter in the last 5 years as far i as can see, but has potential unless we have been sold smoke | jovi1
25/9/2015 14:38 | Guess it's gonna be the 2nd option then Juleshoddy :-( Am I right in thinking that this company's profits are similar to it's market cap? IF so, these continual drops seem extraordinary. John | 2350220
25/9/2015 10:27 | It's on the 20 day MA. This going to bounce, or drop though? | juleshoddy
24/9/2015 12:01 | This may surprise many, but I have a lot of empathy for the MM. Prior to Lehman, London was a risk on market with lots of liquidity. The collapse of Lehman and all that followed, combined with the enforced end of prop trading and exit from equity markets by the UK Global IB and then this year the Swiss National Bank decision (which hit many MM very hard) and now China, has transformed the City into a risk off environment. It is of course not just the UK, but Europe too. Today the take-up of LTRO by banks from the ECB was less than 25% of that forecast and much much lower than in preceding months. Whether that is because the banks now have sufficient liquidity or whether it is because of the concerns over China, I know not, but it all adds to the reduction of liquidity and more importantly risk in the market. | leedskier
23/9/2015 13:09 | With all these sells from the same source? we have never had any change in holdings RNS ,there never will be any RNS with this information as is usual on AIM shares the shorters are aided and abetted by the friendly MMs. This is the main problem with small cap thinly traded shares its very easy for them to be manipulated, until hedge funds and MMs are stopped abusing them by shorting I cannot see any sort of future for AIM it will go the same way as the USM its previous incarnation ,which will be a great pity as this market can be an excellent incubator for small tech companies and their like for the UK. | wskill
23/9/2015 11:14 | I do not propose to debate the issue john henry, but suffice it to say that I disagree entirely with your analysis. | leedskier
22/9/2015 23:36 | No doubt there is a seller but with this low volume the impact on price is high. But if the news next week is good I suspect the sell will soon dry up. In this market is difficult find the bottom. I buy at 13 16 18 and 20 and will million of share that change hand at 12 to 14 is not difficult to see pull back from the 20p. This company is a big bet but the latest news are generally positive, few more contract win and with little luck in few more contract sales can easily improve considerably. Another reason for the dip in share can be due by the potential extra funding and some dilution to acceive seen this many time with other company share have a big dit and institution buy new share at higher price than open market and act as catalyst for recovery. Well this is the my hope if I am right I will eat caviar if not fish and chips ..... Or just chips Good luck to all | jovi1
22/9/2015 23:11 | Penny share, I have been aware of that article for many years. GRPH is an illiquid, low volume micro cap stock. Believe me the MMs simply would not bother with this kinda stock. There is a seller you can see them at work daily. As soon as they came back heavily on the offer buying dried up they have been trying to shift 40k lots by layering the offer. Unfortunately for them, there are no buyers hence the lowering of the price to encourage buyers. | john henry
22/9/2015 19:31 | I hope they are attempting to be realistic in current market conditions. The last thing we want is for the company to beat the drum and then under deliver. wskill drew attention to PURE this morning, which the CEO and FD of GRPH were founder directors of and which is now intending to move to the main market. For those not involved with GRPH, who has ever heard of it? It achieved its stunning share price prior to the crash and being food it has weathered much of the storm since, but from a PR point of view, it is very, very quiet. It is the same with many Aim pharma companies too. I think it is a mistake to think that lots of public acclamation and BB noise means a higher share price. It may mean more volatility and if ADVFN is any guide it includes sharp moves to the downside. Which is why I am very happy that this BB is now so quiet. I think we have to be patient and see if GRPH can achieve escape velocity as a company and if it does, its share price will follow. The most important thing, for me, is that having spent lots of money on R&D (and generally I think) to create GRPH and the Platdrill series, it now needs to reduce its CAPEX and expenditure, until the storm passes and try and demonstrate that, like Scomi, it can make Net profits, whatever the market conditions. The European and US financial crisis and the austerity in its wake, rather passed the oil producing Middle East and Asian economies by. I guess the good times in Malaysia just kept on keeping on. An example being that the Malaysian Stock Market was the most successful in Asia until the oil price started falling last summer. So for CEO's and directors of Malaysian based companies, I guess the need to reign in expenditure post 2008, never really arose until this year. The banks there seemed more than happy to keep lending and the Government more than happy to keep spending. Now Malaysia is facing a reality check both economically and politically. This is why Scomi was at pains at its recent AGM to make plain that most of its (and GRPH's) revenue is in USD and comes from outside Malaysia. | leedskier
22/9/2015 19:12 | John Henry, Leedskier's link about MM dealings suggests the sellers is a MM, which is probably very true. He initiates sells and smaller pis follow. Should get new buy orders on support, which is about now. He may be looking to fill a bigger order. Extremely interesting leedskier, thanks. | pennysharemillionaire2
22/9/2015 18:58 | Leedskier, do you think the BOD are beating the GRPH drum loud enough. | john henry
22/9/2015 18:36 | If VW had recommended diesel car owners to use a 90/10 mix of diesel and platclear, pollution would have been reduced without cheating. | leedskier
22/9/2015 16:37 | wrong pennyshare, check out level 2 and you will see exactly what is happening. if you was watching the rise to 20p on level 2 recently, you would have noticed that the seller released the brakes, volume buying picked up allowing the share price to move. Around 20p they put the brakes on buying dried up and we are almost back to where the price started a few weeks ago. until the seller is cleared the share price is going nowhere. despite any positive news as seen recently. | john henry
22/9/2015 11:28 | The half year results are a week tomorrow.. | leedskier
22/9/2015 11:17 | I dont think so, there was a good rise recently, hitting 20p. Some people taking profits or MMs simply dropping share price back to near 17.5p upward trending support line. | pennysharemillionaire2
22/9/2015 10:53 | i don't think its as complicated as the skill, imho there is a relatively large holder who wants out. The AT look out the BID so that they could lower the Offer. My guess its the 40K seller who took out the BID with ATs if you remove the 500 then 40K hit the bid. | john henry
22/9/2015 10:47 | Not a naked shorter then who needs to cover the short sold sales of the past few weeks then. | wskill |
