On a serious note....I received the GRL circular...and was quite bowled over with the amount of cash these boys are being paid.....even after the reduction in salary insisted on by STI.

Unity's reference to GRL in their annual report is down to one sentence...and 'involved' is probably an inappropriate word to choose.

'Unity is also involved in gold exploration in West Africa through its investment in GoldStone Resources Limited'

STI just said this in an RNS

SERIOUSLY !!!

" As a consequence of the poor market conditions further private placement and public financings result in poor company valuations and excessive shareholder dilution. "

So grl has a current MC of £2mn, pre-Stratex funding of £1.25mn. What are the bets that post-consolidation, the shares still trade a 3p (0.3p old shares) making the rump ex-Stratex worth £1.75mn? Makes you wonder why on earth Stratex would ante up at 6p a share!

This is only a few miles away.. and has had $30m already pumped into the project...with another $15m planned.......GRL's Homase/Akrokerri licence has FIVE times their resources.

From Pro-Active Investor..
Stratex makes progress on Goldstone subscription

By Ian Lyall

October 14 2014, 8:15am
The new funds will allow GoldStone to kick-start work in West Africa.

Stratex International (LON:STI) said progress had been made with its £1.25mln subscription for shares in GoldStone Resources (LON:GRL).

The latter has announced it will post a circular that outlines the details of the investment and that also proposes a share consolidation and a waiver that allows Stratex to acquire 33.4% of Goldstone without making for the entire company.

Stratex also revealed that Christopher Hall, Bob Foster and Emma Priestley will be appointed to the GoldStone board, with Hall serving as chairman. Jonathan Best, Hendrik Schloemann and Benjamin Hill will resign.

The new funds will allow GoldStone to kick-start work in West Africa. It has five projects range from advanced to early stage exploration in Senegal, Ghana and Gabon.

the comments about bringing satellite deposits into play around Homase shows that it was a huge failure and will not work as a standalone operation

so the GRL management failed several times over both to increase the resource but then when they gave up on that to 'monetise' it

it's in effect a no-premium takeunder which is why the shares have reacted badly

the new management have overseen shareholder value destruction at STI

consolidations never work out well for shareholders

so three levels of AVOID here

I'm sure you lads can hang on for another couple of weeks...the bod have issued themselves 10.63m shares in lieu of wages with a subscription price of 0.66p...they'll have to go some to exercise these...which implies some positive news along with the STI confirmation. (STI are in for 33% of the company at 0.6p a share) It's been a rough part of the cycle....but the wheel is turning.

from the rns.
'As announced in the final results on 29 August 2014, the Company and Stratex have agreed a revised date of 31 October 2014 for fulfilment of the conditions precedent to the subscription agreement.'

(Jibba...if it's any consolation, the directors will shortly hold nearly 20m between them... which are worth a little over £50k...IF they could find a buyer for them.)
