31/8/2018 13:06 | Seems to me ErgoGold is making a one hell of a highly toxic rod for its back, wonder if GDP will be left to pick up the tab. Given GDP's poor management record I would not be surprised. Let's take a look at what's proposed: DRDGold's Ergo gold recovery project called Ergo. (ErgoGold). The quartzite rock is ground to fine sand and powder, deadly sodium cyanide is used to extract the gold, and the toxic waste sand is pumped to great contaminated piles with a lake in the middle which can be hazardous for years after mining has stopped. To me on the face of it the whole thing is very much an opportunistic play one slight environmental hiccup...and man the crows come home to roost! | 1rodson
31/8/2018 12:09 | I would think there would be some transport costs additional to that as well considering they would have to move 1.43mt of dirt. Looks like DRD's Ergo facilities would only be about 20k from Benoni though I think they may have a pipeline that runs to Benoni? A short bit of trucking to the Benoni pipeline or a short pipeline extension would obviously be preferable to a 20k truck. Given the current market cap I would be overjoyed with anything close to the bottom end of that range if it is agreed soon. If they get £15m I will be dancing in the street! | dangersimpson2
31/8/2018 10:05 | How the hell they were awarded the RGA beats the hello outta me......just a bunch of dummies sucking on the same lolly only think is no one told them that the lolly fell off the stick when demetri left. | 1rodson
31/8/2018 09:32 | Re-reading a GDP operations update from 2014. GRG suspended due to environmental issues. Will be surprised if Ghana now give GDP much of a clean up contract. Commencing PGM trials for a number of clients at little cost. Whatever happened to PGMs; bit like gold from South America. Rand Refinery stopped taking concentrate because of industrial action. It will not affect this years results; really. Kili looking for an investment partner. Still looking. | russman
31/8/2018 08:31 | The pressure is growing on Ghana to come up with a solution for the artisanals; Seems to be taking forever but they have a huge problem to resolve. There is reported to be 4% of Ghana land damaged by small scale mining. The clean up will obviously take years but I don't think that they can start on it till they have resolved the present situation with the small scale miners. There have been promises of imminenet announcements for the last couple of months, but nothing yet. Another thing we are waiting for is the stock dam. It would seem probable that they are close to agreeing with DRD (probably) in the absence of anything from the government on the pit. I reckon the parameters are: Recovery %: 40 - 70%Cost of process: $500 - 800/ozCost of DRD: $50 - 100/oz I make that a range of post tax cash to GDP of £4m - £15m. Whatever it is it will have a significantly positive effect. Hopefully it turns from the realms of speculation to reality fairly shortly. | kimboy2

29/8/2018 13:02 | not really russman. refining is generally same day or two to three days max, once received - bullion sold and goldplats account credited | sea7
29/8/2018 12:13 | Amusing that Dan was between doppels congratulating himself. GDP elutes all the materials itself which considerbaly shortens the pipeline. | kimboy2
29/8/2018 11:56 | Buying junk in South America. Processing in Africa. Refining in Germany. Long pipeline; sucks in cash. | russman

29/8/2018 10:06 | How much cash does GDP require for its average w/ capital cashflow cycle? GDP takes in / buys junk. It takes (say)4 months to process & refine & sell/trf out. It may be that the timings on their contracts shortens the pipeline. But that is about £5m cash float. | russman
