Possibly but half the Kili losses were in Q3 before a decision on plant 1 was made.

on kili, from the may update...

Further cost savings will also be achieved through the restructuring of labour, although the closure of Plant 1 will not result in a significant reduction in labour numbers as employees will be re-assigned to other positions at Plant 2 and at the mine where possible.

today,

Employees from Plant 1 were re-deployed to other sections of the mine to ensure that no jobs were lost.

.................

I would think that they were planning on letting some staff go, however, the others may have made a bid deal over it and they kept everyone on or faced strike action.

There was talk in the Ghana press of some imminent news on the mercury situation. GDP will obviously keep quiet till something is signed.

Well all that is interesting. Clearly some sort of blow up at Kili.

However despite that they say profit is in line with expectations. Expectations are for an attributable post tax profit of £1.815m. This is despite lower throughput at Ghana and South Africa and an apparent £1m loss at kili.

The underlying profit at the recovery plants is therefore about £2.8m.

The problems at Kili look to have been primarily at plant 1 which has been shut.

I thought that the news on the stock dam looked good, especially the increased rate of processing. There is basically £10m of cash waiting for them so the sooner the better.

looking for a partner at kili again - which has been the plan for ages - it is in a more attractive position now, after showing an improvement in june, over the april and may performance.

Most gold producers are down mainly due to weaker gold price.

No need to comment on the fall back as it was rather obvious given the indecisiveness of the board of directors.

Yes- one of the many other avenues of opportunity that are underway, could do with a decent bit of activity to bring them closer to revenue generation than they currently are.

sea7 kinda what I had in the back of my small mind? There are a lot of balls in the air and we really need something extra to boost the SP?

It is conceivable that Gerard is waiting for something to occur, that he wants in a trading update, which is post period end and prior to publication of y/e results.

The TU is expected Monday. Not sure that constitutes a delay but if it is could be for anything. I would expect them to know the numbers but there could be additional developments on the stock dam or Ghana clean up or anything potentially.

The important thing IMV is to get the new FY off to a good start with everything humming. If we get a good Q4/18 with some good stockpiles of material then that would suggest that.

Is the delay of an expected update a good or a bad thing? Last year it was on the 27th.

I notice that Russell lamming is now CEO of Keras resources, as of a few months ago, with Brian Moritz as Non exec chair. The former CEO is now a NED.

The VSA forecast for attributable income is £1.815m

The attributable at the interims was £0.226m but this included £0.438m of unrealised fx losses and £0.332m of bad debt for RR. If these are added back we get an interim figure of £0.996m.

I got the impression from the finance chap that they were going to give an adjusted number to make the accounts more easily understood. I would expect that in the finals and not tomorrow, perhaps in an Edison write up failing that.

Well we should at least get a statement on hitting market expectations or not. We did with Q4 trading last year. Although what exactly market expectations are is hard to work out - stockopedia has £35.4m Revenue & 0.7 EPS, last corporate presentation has £36.3m revenue & 0.8p EPS. Frankly the company could exceed, hit or miss these figures purely on what the FX happens to be on the 30th June. Hence why I think they should start using an adjusted EPS figures that excludes intercompany loan FX effects.

RNS should be weds or thurs

I don't think we get much steer from the company on profitability, that tends to come from the broker update which we won't be getting.

Hopefully they have sorted Edison out for the finals.

No it wasn't.

This was a rumour that you tried to start based on your complete misunderstanding of the situation.
