Maybe the quarterly operations update due end of January will throw further light on what comes next and the current state of affairs.

Plausible rather than neccessarily correct. I tend to throw figures up to see if anyone can knock them down or add to them. In the end it is numbers that will determine the outcome.

As to the future let's start with the RR issue. I think the mistake that some are making is that the outcome will be binary in favour of RR or GDP. GDP said that they were confident of the outcome, and had time to adjust their invoices if they thought them to be wrong.

The probability is that the most likely outcome will be a compromise by both companies and an agreement to move on and learn from whatever has happened and improve methods. IMV it is also unlikely we will learn the result, at least till the AR when some sort of write down may be necessary.

As to profitability I think that GDP has established a baseline profitability and cash flow. The name of the game is investing this cash flow to increase profits.

The three major investments over the next 2-3 years are 2 elution columns, the stock dam and Kili phase 2.

The Ghana elution looks to be next up. It will cost £1m. The 12kozs Ghana is on course to deliver are all concentrate that goes off to RR. I would suspect that RR gives them $7-800/oz for the concentrate.

Perhaps there is $100/oz profit from their own elution column. Then there is the saving in working capital by shortening the payment period.

I am hoping for an imminent announcement that the elution column will be up in June - Sept this year. It may depend on where they are with the stock dam and what investment is required there.

Anyway by the end of the year I hope they will have the Kili CIL, the Ghana elution column and stock dam adding to the present profitability.

They would then be producing the cash flow to go ahead with Kili phase 2 on their own.

That's my view FWIW.

Well what do we think are the prospects for the coming year?

Well if he doesn't know who does as MF clearly identified

Kimboy2 - the question is good coming from you as you are usually the one providing good research and prospects.

However I am quietly confident for the coming year especially for 2018. We are all waiting fior the losse ends to be tied up and for production to be ramped up and I am hopeful that by 2018 we should be back with a dividend. The RR problem does not bother me at all although it would be nice for a resolution in our favour? Due to the financial situation things are moving a little slowly for me but I understand Gerard does not want any cash calls and so investment has to be organic which will pay off for those who are patient. I leave the figures to you Kimboy2 as you seem quite plausible in that area?

MF recognises that GDP has a financial situation, and somewhere I read they are going to need to raise around £7 million pounds?....I wounded how they will do that?

Perhaps this new bogus site is not so new nor bogus....the plot thickens.

This is serious stuff chaps. Firstly why was it down to Dan to alert shareholders over this dummy.

Gilbert Green and his snots should be on the ball with stuff like this and should have sorted it before now and not let a shareholder tell him what is going on. SO MUCH FOR MANAGEMENT STYLE,

What else will we find GDP's resources diverted to another place. How much will this little fiasco cost them and shareholder,.

They seem to love paying out shareholder's money, perhaps this bogus company knew GDP was an easy touch. and have already milked them.

told you suckers Visausage was not worth his wages, I mean stuff like this should fall under the finance team's domain.......should it not/

Interesting times ahead as well as a 2p SP, GREAT START TO THE NEW YEARS FOR YOU SHAREHOLDERS. lololololololololololololololololol

The only reason I can think of someone using Goldplats wesbsite in this way, is by offering themselves as Gold recoverers, showing clients their operations via the website and then requesting upfront payments to collect and process material.

As the website is a fake, they would not deliver and pocket any proceeds.

Gerard is aware of it now and they can take any action they feel that is necessary.

Kimboy the domain is registered in the US and you can find out who registered it by going through ICANN Who ever did this spent time and effort on this so GDP needs to get onto ICANN and find out who this is For what reason this has been done we can only guess

yes I agree, I can almost anyone with the equipment that I have.
however that is not my point here. I question why some identity would want to do this.

Is GDP going to be subject to some kind of cyber attack or something equally of danger to the security of the company, be interesting to see how the company responds

It means that you can at least contact the registrar of the domain name and point out the issue plus icann can delist this domain if it's a fraud Let GDP do this work and can be added to their list of non productive work I suppose it just goes to show how corrupt business is in SA and yet adds more additional risk in doing business in SA

Yes that info is freely available but what does it mean.

Is GDP's confidential info safe, is there any confidence left....would be nice to know for all new potential investors would it not!

Looks very suspect does this, I have never seen anything like this before has someone got the knife into this dawgie?

On the pit it can be seen at the bottom of the photograph on the resource study. Doesn't look much but I don't suppose many holes in the ground do.

Getting Harmony on board would be another useful source of material.

The royalty will be priced into the cost of processing and should only really affect gold recovery ghana on any material that is purchased outright.
sea7

On the royalty if they are getting something like $800/oz from RR for the concentrate then it will cost about $480k pa.
