01/3/2022 17:43 | add it to the cash pile-when the other shares are sold we will be over £5 mill, not bad for a £12 mill mkt cap | shill10
01/3/2022 17:20 | I make it $31k loss on Caracal but they probably did not have the $450k cash spare at the time so the market has paid us now so this is a good move IMO | shareholder7
01/3/2022 17:06 | I remember questioning why they agreed to take the shares rather than taking the cash to which they were entitled. £138k loss just booked from that poor decision. | lowtrawler
01/3/2022 16:40 | Seems like they had to take a bit of a discount to the market price to offload those 32 million odd. | arlington chetwynd talbott
01/3/2022 16:31 | How many shares of GCAT does Goldplat own? 5.69% does that equate to about 90m? | dinky00
25/2/2022 19:07 | Yes please Kimboy. | michaelfenton
24/2/2022 16:53 | It’s coming in 2 weeks | shill10
24/2/2022 15:11 | Still range bound 7p to 8p. TSF news or dividend/buyback news needed. | lowtrawler
24/2/2022 10:31 | wakey wakey Gold $1970 p/e below 2 | shill10
23/2/2022 15:16 | And just like that everyone forgot last weeks update and GDP remained a £12m mkt cap stock for another 6 months | dinky00
22/2/2022 15:58 | camerongd53, what would be really good is a plan for exploiting the TSF with revenues, costs and timelines. I suspect GDP must have an internal document covering these matters but they may be reluctant to reveal the contents. Indications are the TSF is potentially more valuable than the current market cap of GDP and so a plan covering this could have a material impact on the share price | lowtrawler
22/2/2022 15:24 | Something I have not seen mentioned on this board before - U3O8. According to recent RNS over the years, in the TSF there is approx. 200k Lbs of Uranium oxide which appears to have a market value of $40 per llb i.e. Approx. $8m in total. $8m is a reasonably material amount to GDP. Does anybody know how easy it is to monetise the uranium and what the costs of doing so. The market for uranium seems to be quite strong a the moment. AS the supermarkets say, every little counts. It may like the rest of the TSF take many years to extract. | camerongd53
21/2/2022 10:48 | In my view, the share price will respond to recognise around a 10% yield against any dividend announced (unless they only go for a token dividend). Hence, a 1p dividend will create a 10p share price, a 1.2p dividend, a 12p share price. If GDP can increase future dividends by 0.2p per share, it will add 2p to the price at a cost of less than 1.5p AND provide higher per share dividends as we move forward. | lowtrawler
21/2/2022 10:36 | MF, I agree on the need to return funds to shareholders rather than use them for new ventures. Buybacks are one way to achieve this. Let's say they spend £2.2m buying 22.1m shares and taking our total shares in issue down to 150m. If they then introduce a dividend of £2.2m in future years, the dividend will be 1.5p per share instead of 1.3p AND if the TSF eventually generates £20m of attributable profits which are distributed to shareholders, the distribution will be 13.3p instead of 11.6p. | lowtrawler
21/2/2022 08:09 | Lowtrawler - I am a longterm investor but feel paying a decent dividend is the way to increase the share value. Company has a bad record of frittering away decent profits and returning zilch to shareholders? This needs to change. | michaelfenton
21/2/2022 07:39 | MF, I can see an argument for buybacks before dividend. GDP is so undervalued, it will increase the asset value of each remaining share. In turn, it means future dividends can be at a higher rate per share. For long-term investors, it is a better path. | lowtrawler
21/2/2022 07:23 | Lowtrawler - what you say is indeed possible but I HOPE unlikely. It is time for a 1p annual dividend which is easily covered maybe 2 X 1/2p? | michaelfenton
21/2/2022 07:19 | NTV, Martin might be happy to sell some to stay below the takeover limit. SHG can buy 10.2m and it will bring his holding up to 29.9% at no direct cost to himself. If SHG go on to buy a further 10m, he could sell 3m and still retain 29.9% ownership effectively giving him a small dividend. | lowtrawler
20/2/2022 21:40 | Kimboy2 Surely a buy back would push Mr Ooi above the 29.9%? Therefore not really an option unless he wants to sell part of his holding to keep it at the limit | ntv
19/2/2022 07:59 | Kim boy Werner will only attract real interest when they announce there is a dividend and that the company intends to pay a dividend every year ahead All his comments about good profits over the pat 5 or 10 years mean nothing The profits have been wasted - shareholders have got nothing There is no value in profits that have been frittered away by the company If a dividend is announced the share price wi over time go up in value provided the board do not embark on mad escapades ahead If shareholders can get 10 per cent return per annum on a consistent basis year on year -Then the share price will increase The board must surely know this Martin will I am sure be making it clear He has millions invested in the company He either buys it or will want a decent return on his investment If he sells because the board won’t give a dividend the share price will collapse Time for change at goldplat Ten years or more of no dividend has to end Alm | ih_692232
18/2/2022 06:58 | Yes poor old Werner is not a natural for the TV screen. Always gives the impression of being a prison guard to me. These interviews are always disappointing because the presenters never seem to really know the business. This results in them just asking the tell me what you want to tell me type question, rather than burrowing down into it. | kimboy2
17/2/2022 19:29 | Gold $1900 | dinky00
17/2/2022 18:04 | LSE has an interview with Werner Klinginberg. hxxps://youtu.be/vEe | tanner54
16/2/2022 15:52 | yep NTV, another 250k gone today, after 1 mill yesterday. | shill10 |
