29/8/2019 23:03 | most investors will consider goldplat a high cost producer by simply dividing the revenue by the number of ounces produced. - at the interims, this is about £800 per oz. What is not understood, is that goldplat produces ounces that it hands back to the suppliers and only charges processing fees, which are a fraction of the cost of an ounce of gold - this is one reason why the costs seem high. Goldplat is also a downstream recycler of waste, with an upstream mine on c and m, which has never been profitable in over a decade. unless you are well versed in what goldplat does, what it has and how it operates, then you may not invest in it, as you would only see that headline number. | sea7
29/8/2019 11:58 | Agreed - it is also partly due to the micro mkt cap, not even on most investors radar, if and when it gets some media coverage that would speed the re-rating process up. | shill10
29/8/2019 09:08 | In essence I agree with you. I personally was glad to see the back of GKG. I hope management improves and we get the first piece of positive news soon? | michaelfenton
29/8/2019 08:58 | GDP is clearly undervalued. However, the share price reflects the lack of trust in the management and the consistent bad performance. In addition, I think it reflects the complexity to fully understand the business and be able to make good forecasts. Hence, I think GDP will not be properly valued until it consistently shows good performance and delivers good results. My guess it will not happen until next year by the earliest (perhaps a steep rise in the price of gold or a decent solution to Kili will affect that somewhat). | pog1234
29/8/2019 08:49 | Well for a 10p share price a £2m profit would put GDP on a p/e of 8. This post tax attributable profit was being achieved by the SA operation with gold at $1100/oz. | kimboy2
29/8/2019 08:09 | Pog1234 - thanks for your comment. Note I said realistic goal of 10p by the end of the year given sustained POG? 10p is not my forecast but my target if I was on the board. It is the perfect time to monetise GDP assets? | michaelfenton
29/8/2019 07:39 | MichaelFenton, I would be more than happy if your hopes come true and we see 10p at the end of the year. But with past performance as a guide I doubt it. Consistent good performance for at least a year and yes, maybe we will see 10p, is my quess. | pog1234
29/8/2019 04:46 | Yes Kimboy make hay while the sun shines on GDP. Lets hope they are being busy bees around their honeypot? I am hopeful but nervous re past slow reactions. I think 10p by the end of the year is a realistic goal assuming POG remains higher than 1500$ | michaelfenton
28/8/2019 21:04 | Yes I think the thing to remember is that even with the share price increase GDP is still only worth worth £6m or so and has 80k ozs in the TSF and a 30kozs stockpile the last we heard. They have got to making good money on their own stocks, and hopefully have forward sold some for a couple of years ahead. We know what the numbers will be for the full year to June 19. The question is what will they look like since then. If they run their stockpile down by 10kozs this year then it will be an extra $4m or so on the bottom line. I would like to think that the increased price has also increased the options on the TSF. IMV forward sell a load and get on with it asap. | kimboy2
28/8/2019 11:55 | agreed, Dangers and don't forget production of Gold is going to be stepped up worldwide with this price move in all currencies, meaning more "recovery" supply going forward for Ghana and South Africa. An announcement on Kili should see the price reflect the reality here, which imo is 8-10p per share without the upside of the TSF. | shill10
28/8/2019 11:30 | Gold price in Kenyan Shillings hitting 160k/oz surely has to make the investment case for Kili more robust. Has only ever been above that level for a brief period in 2011. ATH's in Rand & Cedi got to help the recovery operations although only the strategic stockpile & TSF are significant fully-owned resources. Goldplat need to be totally focussed on getting a deal on Kili, sourcing in Ghana & kicking of the TSF asap. | dangersimpson2
27/8/2019 11:41 | I could buy at 4.1p earlier, then I see a 500k trade for 4.01p go through, which looks like someone selling, however, the offer has moved up to 4.285p | sea7
27/8/2019 10:04 | The company hit breakeven in the second half, to june 2019 and with the rising gold price, we will be in profit for Q1 | sea7
27/8/2019 09:52 | i see the smaller holders who bought in the twos and three's are selling and booking a few hundred quid profit - not bad on a few grand outlay, however, goldplat has further to run to the upside. Not surprised to see the stock pull back a bit on some profit taking. | sea7
27/8/2019 08:42 | And we have not had any new on Kili or 1st quarter This is all on POG Anyone selling now is going to miss the boat and after all these years I can see the light at last | shareholder7
27/8/2019 08:25 | buyer was bidding 4.1p for at least 500k. | shill10
27/8/2019 08:17 | someone just sold 70,000 shares @ 4.2p? Crazy or what? | michaelfenton
26/8/2019 09:10 | agreed, but valuing it with Gold so volatile will be tricky - should be plenty of interest though if gold stays above $1500, at the current market cap anything shareholders get will be a bonus. | shill10
26/8/2019 08:41 | shill10- I still say we should get shot of Kili and this is a good time while it has value? It is a distraction to the core business. | michaelfenton
26/8/2019 07:13 | Gold 1555 overnight- at this rate Kili will be off C and M this week :) | shill10
24/8/2019 16:19 | definitely DS. I saw that at the end of friday trading. Should open higher on tuesday. | sea7
24/8/2019 14:30 | Somebody had to pay well over the offer to get just 100k at the end of play yesterday which suggest there's not a lot of stock around at current prices. That combined with the POG means that next week should be an interesting one. 10p is a bit optimistic in the short-term but perfectly reasonable if they can get Ghana performing & the TSF in production. | dangersimpson2
23/8/2019 17:15 | Great to see the rise in GDP as POD moves towards 1600 as there is major support at 1500A rising Tide and all that They only have to post a profit for the first quarter and this will be heading upwards Then a sale of Kili we could be pushing 10p if gold holds and brakes 1600I would think anyone holding gdp would be mad to sell at this level before 1st qtr and MM might find a shortage | shareholder7
22/8/2019 09:46 | tks shill - definite support still at these levels. | sea7
22/8/2019 09:17 | buyer still bidding 3.95 for at least 200k | shill10 |
